Petra Palace Hotel

The staff, the food and the location.

I was totally satisfied.

The location is great, walking distance to the Entrance to Petra. The bar, a lively little bar to sit back and people watch. Watching the locals including Bedouin folk, buy their under the counter liquor, in a black plastic bags. Room spacious and bathroom.

Where do i start. This hotel is so overpriced. There are many other hotels in same location less expensive and offer same if not more. 3 stars at best, if that. On arrival the desk manager looked dishevelled, dirty shirt, poorly presented, remembering this is the first person you see representing this hotel. The breakfast is terrible, cold and boring 4 days and nothing changed poorly thought out. Get a new chef. Supervisor, in restaurant, moving breads and pastries around with his hands, there is no hand sanitiser available near or in restaurant. Soap and hand towel in the bathroom adjacent the restaurant was empty for 3 days. The omelette station ran out and the cook tried to tell us breakfast was over, it was not, he was very rude to my husband. If breakfast was not included, l certainly would not pay for it.. A hotel that doesn’t supply water, where tap water can’t be consumed is appalling. We had a room with a large bathroom that had a multi functional shower unit. One of the water massage jets was extremely unclean and full of mould. I left this open to bring to attendant attention. It was closed up and remained uncleaned for our 4 day stay. Only hand soap at basin and shampoo in the shower. 2 glasses in bathroom only. No other glassware available, though offers a mini fridge.

The staff were extremely welcoming & helpful. Great location for exploring Petra. Clean, comfortable and a large selection of food at breakfast. Very good value for money.

Really big room with 3 double bed, nice view to pool or to city, souvenir shop and good breakfast. Near the hotel in second building is very good italian restaurant

We havent mini bar but the fridge was in room. Parking place ju must find opposite a hotel

Didn’t have an iron and the lobby toilets were under construction. One of the rooms toilets kept breaking.

walking distance to Petra entrance which mean it is the best location in the city, nice pool at 3rd floor, the staff was nice and helpful

facilities, breakfast need improvement, I don't like there was no Shatafa (bidet) in toilet.
