Petra Palace Hotel

Reasonable room

Swimming pool out of action, restaurant closed, loads of building works. 20min wait to get to breakfast as lift did not work.

The hotel is in between several hotels, with a short walk to the Petra visitor center. This was really nice after many hours walking in Petra.

The photos at booking.com look better than the reality of the rooms. This was a bit disappointing.

The location is good, about a 10 minute walk from the Petra visitor center. Rooms and beds are basic comfort, as were breakfast and dinner

A five minute walk to the entrance to Petra makes this an ideally placed hotel. The room was very large with three double beds. It was clean and had plenty of storage. Some things were a little run down but nothing to worry about. The pool was nice but very cold (I mean VERY cold). Helpful staff.

The food was okay but no better than that. We chose to eat out a couple of times instead. Watch out for the price of the local restaurants, they are insane! We paid over £100 for three sandwiches and three drinks in the Petra visitor's centre!

The location of the property was very convenient. It was just a 5 min walk to the Petra visitor centre and there were plenty of restaurants around to choose from. The rooms were comfortable with a nice sit out.

The staff were not very customer friendly. There was not even water and tea coffee maker in the room. And every time one needs water , we will need to walk to the restaurant for the same. We reached 30 minutes before the end of the breakfast time but a lot of food was already over.
