Wifala Thematic Hotel

The hotel is very good. Nothing fancy. Rooms are a little small but perfect for a short trip. It can get very cold. The staff provides hot water bottles but it's still cold. Staff is very helpful

Very clean and helpful staff. They looked after our stuff while we did the Inca trek. We traveled as a couple and it was a great hotel about 15/20mins walk from the centre of town.

Friends and I stayed here while we visited Cusco and hiked the Classic 4 day Inca trail. Hotel was reasonably priced, clean and VERY accommodating to our needs! Only downfall was location as it is about a 30 min walk to the city center. Thanks Wifala :-)

I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place when booking our trip. It's situated close enough to the main square, but far enough to be in a nice, quiet area. Our room, though a bit on the smaller side, had everything we needed and was also visually appealing. What really made our stay great was the staff. Their customer service was outstanding. They went above and beyond what most places do and were happy to do it. These are some of the things they did for us: - The staff knew we were coming back from an excursion late at night. When we got to our rooms, it was on the cold side. We were delighted to find a hot water bottle warming our beds - They booked all of our adventures, we actually didn't have to lift a finger - My phone was having problems connecting to the internet one day, and the reset the routers for me (even though that kicked everyone else in the hotel off for a few minutes) - A taxi came to pick us up one night and we hadn't switched our money to Sols yet. The driver wouldn't accept our money for some reason, so Monica, the afternoon front desk attendant, took money out of her own wallet to pay for our taxi (we reimbursed her later) These are some of the little things they did that went such a long way. Next time I go back, I won't even bother looking for somewhere else to stay.

This hotel was the cleanest hotel we've ever booked. In addition, this family-run hotel provided superb service and assistance, even though my Spanish is minimal. It is pretty far from the city center, but taxis are cheap and the hotel calls to ensure you have a good company. As an example of their service, we needed a 03:30 wake-up. The owner made the wake-up call and then followed up to ensure we were ready for the car pick-up on-time.

Checked in then immediately checked out. Scary neighbourhood and small and noisy rooms.

We spent a lovely night at Wifala. I booked the room in advance so we had a comfortable place to go when we landed in Cusco. The staff people were warm, gracious, attentive. The bed was very comfy. The aesthetics are adoable... lots of cool art by local artists. Our luggage arrived a day after us (long story that will result in a poor review of American Air) and even though we were checking out in the morning, the lovely Wifala folks received and stored our bags for us until we were able to retrieve them. Complimentary breakfast was prepared fresh for us - a sweet corn tamale, fresh bread, a lacuma (local, sweet, custardy fruit) smoothie, and good strong coffee. The price was good, the location was a bit of a hike from the center of town, but a quick cab ride gets you anywhere (5 soles).

Hotel is fine, but definitely not the happiest place. It's a little far out of reach to the main plazas of interest, but easy to get to and accessible by cheap taxi. Room had a little space heater, comfy bed and clean bathroom (shower head was a little old). The staff didn't have much informationa and were forthcoming with tips. Also definitely not breakfast is really odd.

Lovely hotel, but unfortunately the room was so small that if you have a couple of suitcases you can't turn around. Since we left early we didn't have breakfast.
