"Very nice place to stay in Cusco!"

8.0

I had made reservations only for the beginning of my trip to ckeck the place first, but since I enjoyed the hotel, I went back there two more nights during my trip. The hotel is 10-15 minutes walk from Plaza de Armas, but in a quite area. If you don't want to walk, a cab will cost 4-5 Soles. The bed was great, room with heater and a nice hot shower. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Only advice: if you have trouble sleeping with any noise, which I'm not, (especially if tired after walking all day), I would suggest to stay on the upper floors, not on the reception floor. I recommend this place and I would go back there.

"Small rooms, but well presented"

8.0

We stayed at this hotel twice during our Peru trip. While the taxi drivers at the airport were charging $35-$40 for a trip here, you can easily negotiate $20. The trip back to the airport was only $15, no negotiation required as arranged by the hotel. If a driver does not know the location of the hotel, ask him to take you to De La Recoleta Church; the hotel is very close at the top of the hill. You will be required to climb a few stairs, first getting to the main lobby, followed by at least one flight to you room. Bear in mind that this can prove a bit of a challenge if this is your first day at high altitude. While the rooms here are small, they are designed nicely and afford enough space, provided you do not have a huge amount of luggage. The bathrooms are great, with enough hot water to wash off your day trip to Machu Picchu. The hotel will store your luggage for you if required, though admittedly it is not terribly secure in doing so. You would be well advised to keep anything of value with yourself. You can hire a private car for a day tour of sites in the Sacred Valley through the hotel for about $65. While taxi drivers will take US dollars as well as Peruvian Nuevo Soles, Soles are preferred at almost all locations.

"lovely breakfast, out of the way location"

8.0

The breakfast was really nice and the room was fine. None of our taxi drivers had ever heard of it though, so be sure to bring a clear map with its location.
