Anise Hotel & Restaurant

We have stayed here multiple times and the staff are amazing! Great food! I recommended this place to our entire family when they come to visit. This is a great hotel.

Excellent stay as usual! This is my third time staying here and it continues to have great service, clean rooms, WiFi, great food and a great location.

They have excellent customer service. The food is refreshing quality after having traveled and had trouble finding good food. The room is clean and a high standard of furnishings.

This is a terrific hotel with old-world charm, a friendly, helpful staff, fantastic bar and restaurant, charming terrace, good breakfast, free laundry service. The neighborhood is also good, with many bars and restaurants within walking distance. The only downside is that, as of April 2016, there are about three construction projects going on nearby, including one right across the street, so it can be noisy during the day. Once those projects finish, the place will be perfect.

This is a great little Hotel fairly close to the river. We had a great stay and the staff are very friend and helpful. Close too many good eateries.

Friendly staff, attractive, comfortable and well-appointed rooms and good location. Vibrant ex-pat area with lots of bars, restaurants and ammenities nearby.

Great location but they are next to a construction site and the noise wakes you up at 6am each morning. Also we were initially in a top floor room but the magnetic toilet door was so loud we kept waking each other up each time we went to the toilet. So we changed to another room which had a wooden door which was better but the neighbouring construction noise was still an issue. Also they had limited toiletries so we had to keep asking for replenishments. Overall average experience.

The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The hotel provides a very handy laundry service where you can have up to five items per person washed for free each day. I'm planning on coming back to this hotel and it's good to know that next time I won't have to take so much stuff.

We stayed at The Anise Hotel two years ago and had a wonderful stay in this very laid back colonial style family run hotel and so when we planned this years trip to Phnom Penh we naturally stayed at the AH. We were not disappointed. The quality of our room, the restaurant and the attentivness of the friendly English speaking staff all make for a very relaxing visit. The hotel is well place to take in visitor attractions such as The Museum, Royal Palace, Central Market, Russian Market and the riverside scene. The free in room wi-fi is good and the free laundry service (five pieces over person per day) is a real bonus.

We'd heard a lot about the great service at Anise so the bar was high when we arrived. Virtually all staff lived up to our expectations. Excellent breakfasts included in the very reasonable room rate. All meals in the terrace restaurant were good. Our room was satisfactory. Overall a great place to stay for New Year's Eve in Phnom Penh. We'll stay there again when next in P.P.
