absolutely amazing , the hotel and apartments are spotless . So much to do for little ones and all the staff are so welcoming , helpful and friendly and nothing is too much hassle for them . Will definitely be returning .

We are here at the moment the staff are fantastic we were met by a fantastic young lady who was all smiles and asked about our journey she explained everything and got a young man to help us with our luggage he took us to our apartment and helped us get our luggage to our apartment we then went to have lunch where the were very helpful our apartment was very clean and tidy and was kept that way every day yes some say a bit dated have everything you need if you are self catering or half board or all inclusive the beach is a small walk away and very clean the staff in all areas are fantastic restaurants bare mares customer services everything don’t take notice of bad reviews but take in mind it is more child friendly but still caters for adults

The hotel was amazing! From facility they provided to food, activities for kids, cleanliness. The food was amazing, very fresh and so many options! The staff were so polite and very good with kids. Nothing was too much trouble fot them. Always had a smile on their faces! We were very impressed with the staff and the cleanliness in the hotel, bathrooms and around the pool!

We stayed at The Royal Son Bou for a week and overall had a good time, but it was a mixed experience. The real highlight is the staff—especially the bar, entertainment, and Kiko Land teams. Service is friendly and efficient, and Anna in particular was wonderful with our shy little girl, showing patience and persistence until she felt at ease. Unfortunately, the front desk wasn’t as impressive. When our room wasn’t ready, we were brushed off with repeated “10 minutes” answers, which isn’t helpful with a tired toddler. One exception was Riko, who was great. We’d also arranged for a drinks package to be in our room on arrival, but this never showed up. The pool and bar areas are kept very clean, but the rooms themselves are tired and in need of refurbishment. Our pull-out bed was falling apart, and the mattress hadn’t been cleaned properly. We also had ants in the room—staff dealt with this quickly, but it still wasn’t ideal. We requested a cot on arrival, which didn’t turn up for two days, and the fans/air conditioning are dated and noisy. Décor in general is run-down, with scuffed walls and worn furniture. We also made the mistake of booking a third-floor room—lugging a toddler and all the gear up and down steps several times a day was exhausting, and anyone with mobility issues would really struggle here. Again, thats on us but worth flagging. Food is fine but nothing special—plenty of it, but the buffet is fairly repetitive. The location is also a letdown if you like to explore. The area around the hotel is very quiet, with lots of empty units and just a few restaurants that don’t get great reviews. Overall, there’s plenty here to keep kids entertained, and the staff do a brilliant job. But the dated accommodation, service hiccups, and uninspiring location mean we’re not sure we’d return.
