Vibe Hotel Darwin Waterfront

The particular room we were given was next to a fire exit , so the window was much smaller and half the space was replaced with a mirror . The overall feel is that of a beach hotel

Weird smell in corridor . Carpet, bathroom and walls a bit tired looking.

Poor communication prior to booking. I felt that I had communicated my needs for two rooms, one for 2 adults and another for 2adults and 2 children. I had communicated this via the message app and verbally on the phone, continued with the booking and the. Was told on arrival that they could not accommodate our needs and it therefore cost me another $1300, nearly $1,000 on day one and another $450 at the end for a additional roll away bed. The rooms were not serviced everyday only every third which is ridiculous at any hotel let alone Darwin where it is hot and humid and it is necessary to shower twice a day. The soap in the shower ran out on day 4. The hooks on the back of the bathroom door are too small and can't hold towels and therefore the wet towel (that was not changed unless asked) fell on the floor. The cleanliness was poor, there was a dirty food tray outside our room for the first 24hours which was not from us but from the guest before as it was there when we arrived. The carpets in the hall where filthy, the whole way down the long corridor. I have been coming to Darwin for 25 years for work and started staying there once it opened and stayed everytime I visited but I would never stay there again

Perfect location. Pleasant staff.

We had a great room with good views of the waterfront. It was an excellent location
