My first review was removed! I'm guessing this is due to the fact that I told the truth! Don't come of you have allergies. There are no labels to tell you what any of them are, this is also true for a lot of the other food. Trying to ask anyone is a waste to time as they don't know what you are saying. The food is awful. There is a lot of offal and barely any of the food is labelled. The food that is labelled isn't in English. There are flies on the food. We chose not to eat this as we didn't want to get ill. At times some of the food that wasn't eaten at the earlier service is left out until the next one! Food at the snack bar is sat there until it is all eaten. Sometimes this is all day. The pizza is often undercooked, floppy and curling up at the end. It doesn't open until 12pm but I went to look at 11:40 and the food was already sat out going cold. The ice cream is nice tho. Quite a lot of the hotel is dirty or things or broken. Massive chunk of a tile missing in the entrance to the dining hall, covered with a carpet. This is dangerous and I was worried about my son getting hurt. Some staff are hostile and make you feel bad for even asking for a drink. A good few times I was only been able to get water from the fridge as no one was on either of the two inside bars. Outside isn't much better. Sometimes you were lucky but that still involved a 10 minute wait. Hotel has a lot of Russian and German guests. They get treated a lot better than other guests, particularly us British guests. They were able to get free food cooked for them and brought to the table, as many drinks as they wanted, this felt really unfair. The cleaners don't leave the rooms any cleaner, they just change beds. The cleaner took almost all of the clean towels that I folded up and left under the sink in our room. She didn't replace them either. We had been given an extra card by reception and the cleaner and also took that. They were very hostile too. The beds are awful. I could feel the springs, this meant that I didn't always sleep as well. My son said that his bed was the same. The bathroom is tiled which gets slippery. The room has slippy laminate flooring. I fell over due to this. The beach is all pebbles. Some of these are very large ones too. Not really suitable for little ones. I love the beach and this ruined it for me. I slipped over due to the large pebbles. If the beach is a most have for you and your family then don't come here. The beach was like a building site. There was a huge chunk out of it towards the back, materials left everywhere and unsafe for little ones. The location is bit secluded, only really bazaars locally. The hotel is situated on a huge dual carriage way making it slightly difficult to get to the other side. There is a bus but we were advised that it takes a long time to get to Alanya as it stops at 20 bus stations on the way. Be aware that all items on markets are priced in euros. They actually prefer you to pay with euros even tho lira is the national currency. Some of them will only accept euros. I would highly recommend Palm restaurant. They will also pick you up and drop you back off for free. Cheap prices but fantastic food. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much. We ate here 3 days of our stay due to the food being so vile at the hotel. We also really enjoyed the Jeep Safari and The Quad Bike excursions. Both guides were fantastic and made sure that we had a lot of fun. Absolutely stunning views. Big shout out to Mustafa, the guide at the quad bike excursion. Do not waste your money by coming here. It was our first holiday aboard and I'm a bit reluctant to be booking to go to any other country due to what an awful experience we had. This hotel is 1 star at best.

"Avoid. Seriously, listen to the reviews!"

4.0

Let’s start with the obvious — this hotel is not a 5-star resort. In fact, calling it 3-star would still be a stretch. Honestly, it’s a very tired 3-star, and that’s me being polite. The “five stars” in the name must have been awarded by themselves after a particularly strong cocktail (which they wouldn’t know how to make) We arrived late afternoon, ready to check in — only to be told our room wasn’t available until the next day. Instead, we’d be staying in “the villa” for one night. Sounds idyllic, right? Think again. Meanwhile, my in-laws were offered a cash-only €50 “upgrade” for a balcony room. Bargain, we thought! Until they saw it — the balcony was so small you couldn’t fit a plastic chair on it, let alone enjoy a drink. So don’t fall for it — it’s more Juliet’s ledge than a balcony. Our temporary “villa” was, frankly, dreadful. Dirty, unsafe for kids, and clearly allergic to basic maintenance. The walls were peeling, things were falling apart, and I’m pretty sure “health and safety” had never been introduced to the place. The next day we were moved to our proper room, which thankfully was better — smaller, but at least clean. We were told to stay put in our villa until 12pm for the transfer, meaning we spent half our first day just waiting around. Holiday vibes: zero. The new room had a large bed and a bunk bed, which sounded fine until you looked closely. The top bunk was a hazard — my son could have easily rolled through the gap, and some of the slats had clearly been broken and “repaired” in a way that didn’t exactly inspire confidence. Wardrobe space was laughable. The bathroom? Let’s just say the toilet and shower were on very close terms. The shower flooded the floor, turning it into a makeshift paddling pool. If you’re big on cocktails or nice drinks on an all-inclusive holiday — don’t get your hopes up. The wine was terrible, and the cocktails were a creative disaster. The Pina Colada came without coconut (but with milk, because… why not?), and the Espresso Martini was also made with milk, so it curdled beautifully. Occasionally, the beach bar managed a half-decent Cosmo, but mostly it was liquid disappointment. Food-wise — meh. The same grilled fish, chicken, and turkey on repeat. Desserts looked like they belonged in a patisserie window but tasted of… nothing. The one shining light? The baklava — 10/10, no notes. Entertainment was surprisingly great! The kids’ mini disco was a hit — though someone should tell the DJ that “the kiddo disco doesn’t need the base booster on to deafen the children. The adult shows were on a 10-night rotation and genuinely entertaining. That said, the stage flooring looked unsafe, and the popcorn/candyfloss stall was pure temptation torture for kids — not included in the all-inclusive, and the vendor was puffing away like a chimney right over the food. Lovely By this point, it was clear we were visiting at the end of the season, and staff were more focused on packing up sunbeds than serving guests. Supplies were running low, and enthusiasm even lower. Speaking of staff — 98% looked miserable. Duran at the bar looked like he was plotting his escape every time someone asked for a drink, miserable and rude! The exceptions were Hasan, an absolute gem — always smiling, skating around, and genuinely trying to make guests happy — and Maya, who helped us during checkout. In summary, this “5-star” resort should not be sold to the British public or be labelled — or anyone expecting a genuine luxury holiday. Come for the baklava, stay for Hasan, your children may seriously hurt themselves on the dodgy tiling and flooring but expect much else.

• The food is awful. There is a lot of offal and barely any of the food is labelled. The food that is labelled isn't in English. There are flies on the food. We chose not to eat this as we didn't want to get ill. Often the food from lunch is also served at dinner if not all eaten, this includes the food that had flies on it. • Don't come of you have allergies. 95% of the puddings contain nuts and coconut. I'm allergic to both so I couldn't eat hardly any of them. There are no labels to tell you what any of them are, again this is true for a lot of the food. • Food at the snack bar is sat there until it is all eaten. Sometimes this is all day. The pizza is often undercooked, floppy and curling up at the end. It doesn't open until 12pm but I went to look at 11:40 and the food was already sat out going cold. They seemed to be able to get fresh hot food and drinks whenever they wanted it. • The cleaners don't leave the rooms any cleaner, they just change beds. The cleaner took almost all of the clean towels that I folded up and left under the sink in our room. She didn't replace them either. We have given an extra card by reception and the cleaner and also took that. There is a table at the end of the hall to put plates etc on, this wasn't cleaned for 2 days. • The beds are awful. "NOT A 5* HOTEL! Would never visit again!"

4.0

Things we liked in the hotel: * The Splash park and water slides * The food was good, we like to try local cuisine and there was good variety of Turkish/Mediterranean dishes. * Good location * Lovely masseuse Sarri * The three Polish girls from Entertainment team - organised amazing Mini Disco and daily sport activities! I enjoyed my morning yoga classes with Victoria, the girls were super hardworking, friendly and kind! My daughter and I absolutely loved them!! * Our Rep, Murat, was very helpful and kind, we booked some amazing Jeep and Buggy experiences that we loved! * Lovely pebbly beach with clear turquoise water!!! * Nice green spaces with a beach view - I loved having my morning coffee at the beach bar! Things that spoiled our time: * THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL!! * Extremely Small room, that we (somehow) managed to change after 3 days!! to slightly bigger - Reception was so rude to everyone and everyone seemed to be having the exact same problem - small room! * VERY scruffy hotel, definitely needs a major renovation - broken tiles, paint come off, rust, holes, old carpets.. * The main swimming pool was very dirty - full of hair and bits and whatnot.. * Although the food was generally good, not everything was fresh, I got food poisoning after eating seafood. * Majority of the staff were rude and genuinely hated all foreign guests, only being nice to local Turkish tourists. * The behaviour of the local Turkish guests - they were extremely rude, we got pushed while queuing, my daughter got shoved down a slide by local boys not just once, she was crying because local children were pushing her and not allowing her to have a go on the slides! Not to mention the way they stare and make you feel uncomfortable! Simply horrific and disgusting behaviour!! * Spa centre smelled like mould.. The Person who sold the massages was giving prices according to where you come from, we met other people who got charged 5x more for the same package! Be careful what you pay for! * The Turkish entertainers only cared about their local guests, they seemed quite rude and disrespectful to foreign tourists. WE MANAGED TO HAVE A LOVELY HOLIDAY BECAUSE WE CHOSE NOT TO PAY ATTENTION TO ANY NEGATIVES, WE SIMPLY IGNORED THE REALITY AND FOCUSED ON HAVING FUN!! WOULD NOT VISIT AGAIN - THIS HOTEL IS STRICTLY FOR LOCAL TURKISH TOURISTS ONLY - THEY DON’T HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR FOREIGN VISITORS!!

"Great holiday"

Aqua Plaza is a wonderful place for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The hotel has a friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, and very helpful staff. The pools are large and well-maintained, perfect for both adults and children. The food is delicious with plenty of variety, and the entertainment team makes the evenings fun and lively. Overall, it’s a great hotel for families and friends who want to have a comfortable and memorable vacation.

"3 Star - Needs Improvements"

6.0

So here is my honest opinion of Club Aqua Plaza. It must have been AMAZING when it first opened, however I'd say now more of a 3 star. The first room we was given was awful, luckily enough I had the money to pay & upgrade to a nicer room with sea views. The food is ok, but seriously overcrowded & struggled get a seat in the restaurant with HUGE queues. There wasn't a big selection, but we always found something to eat, the problem is it wasn't warm. Breakfast was the worst for cold food. The Pide at the snack bar are good & jacket potatoes. The highlight was the Italian by the beach bar. Many amenities have closed down such as the children's fun fair, waffle bar by the relaxing pool etc... The animation are terrible though the day & not interested. However on an evening they are much better. The entertainment is good but everything is finished by 10pm. Most staff are incredible, shout out to the following legends: Eren - Bar Elif - Bar Red Hair Hüseyin - Guest Relations Rojhat - Italian/ Evening Sila - Bar Husan - Roller Skates Belut - Lobby Bar Tugay - Breakfast Overall it was a good holiday, but I've experienced much better hotels in Turkey.
