old run down hotel.. very worn out.. room was very shabby furniture old and worn out bathroom has seen better days I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone

Beautiful older hotel in a great location. Easy check in and check out. Train station is right around the corner. Great pubs and restaurants out the front door.

The whole experience was fantastic

Fantastic location in the heart of Galway City. Despite this, the rooms are quiet with no noise disturbance which is great for a good nights sleep. Staff are professional, efficient and friendly. Room was clean, modern and spacious. Breakfast had great variety & nice that you can order fresh hot food. Reduced parking rate, €11.40 for 24 hours.

No bathroom door. The bed was 2 singles pushed together & 1 mattress was higher than the other so not as comfortable as hoped. Room was cold & had to put the radiator on which took a while to heat the room. It would be nice if heating was on, even low, upon arrival. Parking is a bit of a distance when lugging bags and set down area had the same cars parked in it for over an hour.

Our flight to Ireland was cancelled when we were at the gate due to a problem with the plane. I called the hotel to cancel and ask for a refund. I was told that because I cancelled within 48 hours of arrival, a refund was not possible. I asked them to use some discretion and take account of the circumstances (the cancellation was not my fault) and they refused. I'm not disputing that the hotel was completely within their rights to refuse a refund. I just think that in situations like this, you can do better than this.
