Barcaldine Castle

Unique, sincere and warm welcome that enhanced our stay from the very moment we arrived. Patrick and Cecelia certainly made our stay offering a brand of generous hospitality befitting a small Scottish castle.

Loved everything, so nothing not to like.

Einfach alles - man hat sich gefühlt, als wäre man in der Zeit zurück. Alles war liebevoll eingerichtet und gepflegt, das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und die Burg sieht einfach wahnsinnig toll aus. Wir hatten ein kleineres Zimmer, das aber sehr komfortabel war und auch das Frühstück war toll.

It was a fair dinkum castle with a lot of history and set away from all the hustle and bustle. It was an intamet setting.

Wifi was a bit dodgy

Tolles Ambiente und sehr stilvoll mit Antiquitäten eingerichtet. Es gibt coole Himmelbetten und man fühlt sich wie ein Landadeliger des 17. Jahrhunderts. Keine Sorge: Der Komfort ist modern. Die Aufenthaltsräume (holzgetäfeltes Ess-und Kaminzimmer mit Ledersofas und Sesseln, Barzimmer) sind sehr gemütlich und strahlen Flair aus. Es gibt sogar eine Geheimgang… Das Frühstück ist erstklassig. Patrick und Cecilia sind hervorragende und engagierte Gastgeber. Wegen der wenigen Zimmer und der herzlichen Gastgeber fühlt man sich fast wie zu Hause.

Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen und es war seinen Preis wert!

Patrick the host and his wife Cecilia were incredible. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. We received a very warm welcome, a history of the castle and help with the bags. The accommodation is fantastic. A wonderful, spacious bedroom, bathroom and the communal dining / seating and bar area. The breakfast in the morning was excellent of very high quality ingredients and locally produced meat products. Patrick and Cecilia provide superb customer service as it should be. A skill and art that is sadly lacking in so many settings. 10/10

Patrick and Cecelia are lovely hosts. They made us feel right at home. The castle is a 400-year-old structure with all the comforts of home. The breakfast was off-the-chain delicious. We enjoyed staying here for our 48th wedding anniversary. You will not regret staying at the castle!

Stepping into a castle of several hundred years. Being greeted with the friendliest welcome outside when we parked the car. Being so few rooms the management had time for every single guest. Having a drink together with strangers in the evening, turning out to be a really nice gathering where we got to know each other over a glass. Clean rooms. Everything was thought if, like they themselves came from high quality and knew exactly what to offer. The breakfast was amazing. Local food. Fresh flowers on the table. The atmosphere was to feel and touch. The management was amazing. ❤️
