Ardanaiseig Hotel

What a wonderful baronial-style property set in quite outstanding scenery. The original features of the hotel offered delightful public rooms with great views over Loch Awe. Our bedroom was a little dated but very well appointed. The staff were welcoming, very efficient, polite and friendly. The menu was delicious; locally sourced fish, beef and venison prepared to local recipes as well as dishes for every taste. We enjoyed walking in the extensive grounds where wildlife abounded. The whole experience was characterised by peace and quiet and we would go back in an instant if we had the chance. This hotel is a real gem.

Struggling to find anything we did not like.

The location was fabulous and I loved finding the forest walkway. The hotel had obviously seen better days and was a bit run down, but still regal. I can sum it up by saying that it would be the perfect location to film Rocky Horror Show - the Sequel. The staff was marvelous.
