Prachtig gebouw mooie kamers

In de douche was wat schimmel tussen de voegen Het ontbijt was niet voor herhaling vatbaar: toost brood dat er lag was zwaar beschimmeld, de dame kwam wel vlug met vers brood. Er stond geen melk bij de cornflakes moest dit telkens vragen en er was blijkbaar bijna geen melk meer. Ook was het superlang wachten op de spek en eieren. Er zat een kwartier tijd tussen mijn havermout en mijn vriend’s schots ontbijt en dan zaten we al een 20 minuten te wachten.

Breakfast was good, and the person serving us breakfast was very helpful. Also the lady tending bar who also checked us in was very good as were the cleaning lady who helped us with our bags

The dinner meal service and the person serving was poor. We made a reservation for 1930 and it was 25 minutes before we place our order and only then because we flagged down the lady rending the bar. Our meal took almost 90 minutes to arrive and was mediocre. We alps had to fetch our wine from the bar.

The stairs and the food was only fair.

The staff were incredibly friendly. It was a dream waking up in a castle every day. The room was huge, with a massive bath and a really comfy bath. Breakfast was beautiful.

I can't think of anything negative.

It was lots to like about this property. The bar area was traditional, but there was a beautiful sitting room with plenty of couches and sofas. The dining room was spacious and the food excellent. And the staff without exception were helpful, attentive and friendly. We understand the hotel is now under new management and I’m sure it will only get better

It had an aura of faded grandeur and will need some money spent to bring it back up to its former glory.
