Hotel San Martin

Estupendo, en el centro de todo, muy limpio, buena atención, solo que no cuenta con clima para la temporada de frío. Recomendable

La ubicación y atención muy buena. El wifi llegaba a desconectarse , la limpieza de sábanas y fundas pudiera mejorar . Problemas en el baño el agua salía muy caliente o casi fría, fue difícil templarla

Me and my husband visit San Cristobal twice a year and we stay at San Martin almost every time, I say almost cause twice it was packed and had to go elsewhere. The service is super friendly and helpful. YES the rooms are very standard, but if you check when booking this is a 3 star hotel, and you pay for a 3 star hotel, if you want fancy rooms and fancy service then pay for it!... this hotel is totally worth the price, the location is amazing, near everything! Definitely will come back.

Worst hotel I have ever come across! I stayed here with a group of friends and all of our rooms were disgusting The mattresses so old they are probably from a century ago and they are so hard that all of us had trouble sleeping My friend even requested to move rooms but her new room wasn’t any better There was basically no hot water after one of us had a shower so we were cold and had to endure a freezing shower too. It looks like housekeeping just hosed the whole bathroom down because one day when I came back to my room there was water everywhere! even on the toilet seat! I also accidentally left my running shoes there and contacted the hotel the next day to arrange for someone to come pick them up but they refused to get back to me and kept them instead! DO NOT STAY HERE

I stayed here as part of a tour, so I don't know how cheap the place is. The rooms are quite small - not much room for two of you and your bags, but it was fine for 2 nights. However, the shower was TERRIBLE! No hot water and only a dribble of water. We complained the first day saying it wasn't hot. Reception said they had checked it and hot water was now working..went in, left the shower running for 10 minutes to only get a tiny bit of luke warm water (definitely not hot). A shower really is a key thing for me, especially at this time of year when the weather is only 3 degrees in the morning and at night. The rooms are cold, so suggest you ask for a blanket from reception too. However, location wise is perfect! It's on a beautiful pedestrian street full of lovely restaurants and shops. Therefore, if you get a room with a shower that works and it's cheap, then it's probably a good place to stay.

this is a small hotel nothing fancy the price is very good , the location is the best of this hotel you can walk pretty much anywhere you need to go , they have coffee places around it and great restaurants at great prices . they do not seem to have any parking any place near but that was not a problem since we did not use the car at any point since everything was very close.

You are just steps away from one of San Cristobal's active pedestrian streets full of shops and restaurants. The street frequently has its own entertainment, dancers, musicians and jugglers. A block away from the main square, yet you find yourself in a cozy, quiet environment when you are ready to sleep. Maybe a little too cozy for some. Our room was small, the beds and pillows were hard. The staff was efficient and friendly but not bothersome. The price was a huge selling point for being so close to the action in San Cristobal.

This place was quite a terrible experience. There was no heating so it was freezing cold (I had to sleep fully dressed in a hoody). Instead of normal windows they for some odd reason had used none-transparent bathroom windows making it feel like being in a cell. The pillows was like concrete and there was three rusty screws pointing up that you easily stepped on when going to the bathroom. The only good thing besides there being a lot of hot water is the price - 500 peso. So if you only need beds and have a sleeping bag or good night cloth maybe you can consider this place. They do not serve breakfast, which is not a problem as you can find cheap and good breakfast everywhere. A final note - check your lock. I realised that in our room you could open the door even when locked of you turned the handle hard.

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel San Martin. We thought it was in a great location, right on one of the walking street. Walked out into numerous restaurants and shops. It was clean and had helpful staff. If I was to mention a negative it would be our room was freezing (not much to be done about that), the reception does give extra blankets if you need them so it wasn't an issue. Would stay here again!
