Ledges Hotel

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The backdrop of the waterfall is absolutely beautiful. I pride myself on giving an honest but fair review so here goes… For the price, the quality and standards of the room do not quite meet expectations. We stayed in a two level room (spiral staircase to get to bedroom) and felt it could have been much better. The bathroom upstairs was nicely appointed and large. Unfortunately, we saw lots of dead flies in the window seals and had to clean them out. There was also a nice kitchenette downstairs. Where these units fall short is the furniture, carpets and simple fine touches. Our carpet was extremely worn and both of the swivel chairs in our living area were completely broken - as in visibly completely broken. The couch was very worn but comfortable enough..The AC unit upstairs seemed to be make-shift which was a portable floor unit with a duct taped to the window. It cooled reasonably but it did get warm at night. We dined at the on-site restaurant and the service was great! Menu was good and food vane out pretty quickly. The restaurant has a nice vibe but little things count. For example, when you look up - there are cob webs all over the light fixtures. You are provided with a credit to use for breakfast at the coffee shop just up the hill. The cafe is lovely however on 2 mornings we waited about 25 minutes for coffee after ordering. They have a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches but service was extremely slow. I will acknowledge we were there on a holiday weekend so perhaps that played a part. I will say that there were many nice team members who assisted during our stay. All in all for the price, I’d recommend finding an VRBO and just visiting the Ledges for a drink and the view. This place has great potential but needs leadership that will work on refreshing the items that are worn/dated, invest in new paint and deep cleaning and focus on fine touches that make all the difference at this price point.

We had a great overnight stay. The views are stunning, rooms are cozy but clean. Staff was absolutely pleasant. Shuttle offered to sister hotels in the area. Calendar of activities. Live music on Sundays, dining credits for breakfast at two locations. They absolutely take care of their guests. And above all the setting is so serene. We loved our stay!

I really really wanted to enjoy this hotel. I drove my family 7 hours to come to this location for the experience of spending the night in a waterfall. The view from the restaurant was incredible. The food was underwhelming and the hotel accommodations were barely scraping average. It is such a shame that it has become so run down. Such awesome potential. Grossly overpriced for meh accommodations. Not sure how many times they can respond with "that isn't the typical experience". It is. Stay for drinks, skip dinner. Sleep elsewhere. Such a bummer.

Great location...

Too many stairs, to get to the room and even to go to bed, way too many stairs with no one to help with the luggage. We had to open and leave all the suitcases in the car....

We had a great time. The accommodations were wonderful. It’s a nice place to go if your looking for a quiet weekend getaway to decompress.

The views are fantastic! The onsite restaurant is very good and you can't beat eating overlooking the falls. The rooms are cozy but well appointed and very clean. The staff went above and beyond, even pointing us to use several hotel activities after we had checked out. Highly recommended.

We should have been told about the ongoing loud construction by the pool. We would have probably not booked if we were made aware of that issue
