Only one mirror in bathroom with low lighting

Location was very good, right in the heart of the Barbican

The place itself is located up a dingy staircase that smelt of damp. The key is very difficult to open the door. The apartment was not cleaned to a good standard. There is a nest of tables that still had remains of a takeaway left on them. The plates were still dirty and had not been washed. The carpet felt grimy and greasy, could have benefited from a professional clean. There are also a couple of forgotten about hanging baskets that had clearly been used as an ashtray. Yuk!!

Convenient location

The apartment does not have central heating, we found a radiator inside that does not cover the entire surface especially if it is cold outside. Hot water does not work in the kitchen or in the bathroom sink. The shower only gives scalding water, you cannot wash yourself, after the water comes, it immediately cools down and you have to wait for it to heat up again. I barely managed to take a shower as I was there. Dirty pots in the kitchen. The sofa was very dirty as well as the carpet. The air was stuffy and very dusty, I had serious breathing problems throughout my stay. The key gets stuck in the door, it is very difficult to open

Fantastic location

WiFi I struggled to get

The location is great, close to restaurants and bars. Easy access to the surrounding area. Towels and bedding provided, very helpful for a short stay. Simple kitchen offering but good.

Unfortunately the overall cleanliness was very poor of the flat. I would say it needs some serious work on some of the fixtures and fittings, even at a basic level. The carpet was very stained and generally not cleaned or maintained well. I appreciate the price is low for the area but basic cleaning shouldn't be neglected. Steps up onto the sleeping area are extremely steep and I would not recommend anyone who has children or mobility issues.
