Property Notes

Guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID. The property will not accept expired licenses or passports. Billing information needs to be the same as the booking information. Full-service daily housekeeping is not available, except by special request. Housekeepers will remove trash and replace linens as needed. Our lodge does not have a 24-hour front desk. Our check-in times are 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Please contact us if you would like to check in early and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you will be arriving between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., please inform us and we will have a staff member available to check you in. Any check-ins after 8:00 p.m. will be assessed a fee of $20 per half hour. We will not accept check ins after 9:00 p.m. For arrivals into the Hilo Airport (ITO) after 8:00 p.m., the late check-in fee will be waived with proof of flight itinerary. We recommend Kona Airport arrivals after 6:00 p.m. DO NOT schedule check-ins with us until the next day. Our Front Desk hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm HST (09:00 - 17:00).Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. A deposit may be required at the property.

The number of beds was perfect for our family. The view from the back lanai was calming, and I loved the bamboo, ti leaf, and the chickens, too. The kitchen was perfect for our needs on this trip.

The fridge was small, but we managed. At the end of our stay, we had an issue with our car not starting. We ordered the part we needed, but since it was a Sunday (and we are on an outer island), we had to wait for it to arrive. We asked if we could leave our car, and we even offered to rent the stall for two days. The owner's answer was no. So we had our car towed. The relaxing two-night stay in Hilo became a very expensive one.

"I don't agree with keeping my deposit that is stealing."

It was nice but I left one day early and they chose to keep my $205 dollar deposit. I 💬 no keeping my deposit was unfair.

Best camping on the big island🙏🙏🏝 Verry good experience i was suposed to stay 3 nights car camping at the lodge finnely i was there for 8 days 😉verry friendly owner staff was nice

Pleasant, convenient, clean and friendly. We had our annual retreat here and they are very accommodating and helpful. We even got a visit from the owner checking to make sure we had everything we needed.

Amazing! But you may want to include that your rooms do not have TVs. No in room television, only a common "tv room" that is open 24hrs.
