Rocky Mountain Cottage

The house had central heating. This made our stay warm and comfortable. The proportions of the house were good with plenty of rooms.. sleeping for two couples and three kids. Two bathrooms and the ensuite bathroom had a spa bath. The deck on the back gave a great view but unfortunately the weather was very wet and cold so unable to really take advantage of the deck

Great location - not far from the town and close to the national park which was great for long walks. We all enjoyed sitting around the roaring fire and the spa bath.

I thought that the cleaning fee of $300 was out of proportion to the cost/length of our stay.

Great house - has everything you would need for a comfy home stay. Great location, beds are super super comfy, house was clean, comfy lounge area, nice deck area, has lots of those little things that you go looking for when you want it ie: a proper sized hairdryer, a teapot. It was chilly and crispy at night - ducted heating worked a treat. Also enjoyed having Netflix and other apps on telly. Easy house to feel comfy in - would recommend this property.

We liked the layout. It suited our group of 4 and was well equipped. Homely and comfortable, a pretty home and a nice size too. The spa bath was lovely and relaxing. I think in Winter it would be great with the fire. Being warm weather 30⁰+ we used the BBQ and deck which were nice. We arrived 15 mins before check in and the cleaners were just leaving and said it was ready for us. Key by the door was a good idea (except I couldn't open the key box - lucky hubby finally sorted it out). Overall, we enjoyed the property for the purpose of our visit, a friends catch up weekend for us "oldies".

The yappy dog next door is very annoying if you walk outside. Being warm weather, just "being on the deck" made the dog bark non stop at the gap in the hedging where it watched us from. Finally on our 2nd of 2 nights they finally took it inside. We had to go and buy our own steak knives as we ate BBQ dinners, and only one steak knife was supplied (although all else was well provided). Found a few power issues, Kitchen lights didn't work at all. Lamp in single bedroom didn't work. Dining fan was hard to figure out. I sent some photos to the booking email of a couple of broken things (to ensure they had been previously reported and noted that we didn't break them!). I felt the driveway photos were deceiving, but we managed to get off street on an angle. One of our group is blind, so we needed good access and parking near the door for his safety. We managed, but it looked like a full driveway in the photos. The home is comfortable. Curtains and rods could all do with some rehanging to slide easier. Just little things could improve the place. But overall, we enjoyed our stay, thank you.

The house itself is wonderful - in a quiet location, very clean with comfy beds and a well-appointed kitchen

I did not like that you couldn't have anyone on the premises who was not a registered guest - to disobey this condition meant that you would be asked to leave immediately. The weather was dreadful during our stay, but this condition meant that we couldn't invite my sister, not our adult children over for even a cup of coffee. Perhaps this condition is an insurance issue, but I was very disappointed with this and will try not to use Accommodated again.
