Rocky Mountain Cottage

The cottage felt like home from the moment we walked in. Everything we needed was provided right down to a fly swat! The beds and pillows were comfortable and spare quilts and blankets were available. We particularly loved the fireplace but just a starter pack of wood and kindling is provided ( as stated in the info) More wood needed to be sourced for a fire that lasted an evening. We took advantage of the Prime streaming service to watch a movie.

I know that the owners have no control over this but unfortunately , this time of the year came with incredibly noisy cicadas. This, combined with a barking dog next door, limited our time outside on the deck….. A shame really because the setting was perfect and the deck lounges were very comfortable.

The house was clean and tidy and well stocked with necessities, the heater was adequate to warm the house, the area was quiet with easy parking for our two vehicles.

We could have had an explanation book as to operating the heater and turning on the gas burners on the stove. We did not use the gas burners or contact you as we used alternatives.

Lovely home. Great facilities and plenty of appliances and heating available. Clean well kept home. Two bathrooms was great

The price given on Bookings.com was not the total price we had to pay after agreeing to the given price on the bookings.com website. I was charged an additional fee by Accommodate, the booking agent for the property plus a refundable deposit So Bookings.com fee of $546+ accommodate fee of $33.53 and accommodate deposit of $300 in total $879.53 was taken from my bank account. I have kept proof of these costs. I am very unhappy with these additional charges. I definitely will take care not to ever again book if Accommodate are involved. I feel ripped off. The additional charge needs top be added to the Bookings.com total price to give buyers a fair understanding of the cost of the accommodation. Others may also be caught out if one doesn't have an extra $300 security deposit available to them when paying. This has never been an issue before when using Bookings.com to compare and decide on accommodation. The Accommodate booking information is particularly aggressive, e.g. Don't do .... or you will be charged $XXX. Clean xyz or you will be charged $xxx for cleaning etc

Excellent location was a very comfortable stay. It really felt like home for a week we just loved the cottage. The Kitchen is well equipped the beds are all comfortable and it is peaceful. The open fire is just perfect.

The thing I did not like was the washing machine I am not used to a front loader machine but it did do the job.

Toilet roll holders in awkward spot in both bathrooms. Bunk room was freezing even with ducted heating. There was a heater in the cupboard if required.
