Silversands Hotel

Tram stop across the road was handy but the location was too far out , not much near by. Entertainment not too bad , different singer every night and bingo, wifi in room quite good but didnt work in lounge. That was about it .

Hotel is not in the best location too far out from everything , nearest pub etc was about 10 minute walk. Run down and needs a good revamp. No TV in lounge. Bathoom was tiny as was the shower , if your on the large side you wldnt fit in it ! Some one was smoking in their room , whole corridor on 1st floor was stinking , no manager around but told the barman. Breakfast could be better , myself and my mum were put at the end of a cramped table of 4 men, no table of our own. Tea was cold , toast was hardly toasted and cooked breakfast wasnt hot ! Was obviously pre plated. Would not return.

Bar area was a good size. We booked a twin and had a large room with 2 double beds. Water pressure in the shower was excellent and plenty of hot water. Tram station 2 minute walk

They should do breakfast in 2 sittings. Everyone was there at 8.30 and the restaurant was packed. It took the waiter 45 mins to get to us to ask what we wanted.

There was a problem with the rooms i booked at no fault of the hotel, they had received incorrect information from booking.com, they managed to sort out the problem easily. The staff were all great and made everyone feel welcome, I will definitely stay here again.

GOOD FOR TRAM AS CAN GET IT AT THE END OF THE STREET

Hotel bedroom very outdated ,needs re painted as loads of dirty marks on skirting, need new furniture, didn't use shower as didn't look great Bar staff not very welcoming I went back with a dirty glass with lipstick on it ,not even a sorry didn't order again from him as he didn't look happy made me feel uncomfortable, went out gir a drink ,won't be back

the location as it was quiet and the tram was only £6 a day anywhere you like , and only 2 mins walk away ! the entertainment was typical British just what we love ! everyone was friendly staff and other holiday makers , even though we were the youngest ! also a bargain !

wasn’t exactly sparkling and could do with a little update , didn’t like the plastic sheeting as it just made you sweat ! breakfast wasn’t the best but plenty of other stuff to have and the staff made up for it !
