Silversands Hotel

It was spotlessly clean the beds were very comfy the rooms were aired clean windows and curtains plenty of storage space lift to all floors were in working condition and very clean very good entrainment even a few games here and their also bingo and the prize money was good the breakfast was very good plenty of choice and the games room was good and also had a quiet corner looking out into the front and has a area outside for smokers or just to have a chat and all the staff are very friendly and the bar is very good could not fault this hotel at all it’s a bit outdated on decor but still very clean and it’s like home from home and everybody’s friendly and you get to know the other guests staying i recommend this hotel and will be booking again this summer with my son and daughter wouldn’t go anywhere else

The breakfast was good and plenty of choice but could of offered a choice of tea or coffee and to bring out the toast when the main breakfast is served as wen it does come out the toast is always cold because you get given it before your hot breakfast also the sausages could do with browning of a bit more rather than them looking as tho they haven’t been cooked long enough but still an excelant breakfast to peoples liking

Sunday morning breakfast was served cold. had to keep asking for things. tea pot already made on table was Luke warm but don’t drink tea anyway so had to ask for coffee. then got cereal but no milk, so had to ask for milk. then had to ask for our breakfast and was given half a slice of toast which again was cold and like rubber. felt like we had to beg for stuff and kept on getting ignored has staff walked past and we tried to stop them they just ignored us. many people was complaining about the service. Monday morning was a bit better. but still had rubber toast and eggshell in my egg. another guest who stayed there has a regular was spoke to like crap by the woman on the desk because she said he had been moaning about the food. he hadn’t but people had been moaning to him about it but he didn’t really respond. the woman had come outside and started shouting at him outside and said stop telling people you have been banned from staying. very unprofessional and she really shouldn’t be working in customer service talking to guest like that. it made everyone feel uncomfortable. she could of just took him to one side. the poor guy was heartbroken. I will never stay there again

excellent location to pleasure beach and local train station, free off road parking, clean and very helpful staff

Rooms and bathrooms are very small. Lift is a little scary, rattles creaks and rumbles
