Hotel Canandaigua, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

This was a last-minute booking but it worked out well. This is a Hilton property and even though I am from the Finger Lakes, I didn't realize this was the property as the building sat vacant for a while. When we pulled up, I knew exactly what it was. This is a very classy hotel. We were in town for a concert, and because of Mother's Day, a lot of other hotel chains were booked up. This hotel sits on the water, and there is plenty of parking in the front. We checked in with no problem. The woman at the desk assigned us room 309, which had a great view of the lake. They have a Wednesday concert series so there is a large tent reserved for bands, weddings, and other events. It's actually the one in the picture of this hotel. Our room was large and spacious. The bathroom was nice with sliding glass doors and a checkerboard pattern in the shower. Towels were plentiful. Everything was clean. The hotel has some interesting designs on the carpets in the hallway. The room had a nice touch. The TV had my name on the splash screen. There was also a QR code on the dresser for service to use if you needed anything. There is a restaurant on-site, but we didn't get a chance to use it due to time. There is a pool, but it was still closed for the season, and I wasn't able to use the gym facilities. This is a great property; our only regret was that I didn't have enough time to enjoy it more.

Spacious room with King-sized bed, gorgeous new bathroom, pleasant lobby, good walking paths right on the lake. Lots of places to eat/drink near by.

Our "lake view" was a view of the pool. There was a large stain on the carpet in our room. The walls are thin--we could hear people next door peeing in the middle of the night. I realize hearing your neighbors is pretty standard for any hotel, but when you're paying $$, expected the walls to be a bit more thicker.

We stayed one night at this hotel and expected more than we got. We are Hilton Honors members but were never acknowledged as such. We waited an extended time in line to check in since only one person was working the check in. Our room was very large, clean and well equipped. Two bottles of water sat on the dresser with the price of $3.00 each, even some low end hotels give rewards members a free bottle of water and a free breakfast but not this hotel. The air conditioner/heater was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep, very annoying in what is advertised as an upscale hotel. We are frequent travelers and will try someplace else next time.
