The position is very good when travelling to Scotland

The shower did not work in our room and we found it quite noisy so did not sleep well

Cheap, no frills hotel.

Lack of hangers in wardrobe

The building is pretty and really English like. However is obvious that it has been used years long. - Bed and pillow really comfortable - breakfast was more than enough - towels and shampoo/ gel was provided We booked it last minute with night arrival and they attended us perfectly even answering our calls at midnight.

Shower water temperature was just warm and not hot. Could keep the old style but need some renovation

We popped in for a drink on our way home. Every drink cost £5 regardless of what it was. We ordered a can of coke, j20, and a beer. They gave us the wrong j20 and then the correct one. After my daughter drank the j20, which had a strange sediment in it, she said it tasted strange. When looking at it. It was 6 months out of date. We complained and was told we couldn't have a refund. The service was appaling, and we left extremely disappointed. The place is filthy. The staff dont seem to know what they're doing. We will never set foot in there again.

Staff did not have a clue. Bar prices made up single spirit and coke £5 a double £10. Any other drink also £5. Don't speak to you, poor English. Mattress and other rubbish piled up in the side room. Place smells damp and is not clean. Food awful potato and coleslaw salad no spoons etc to eat with. Bathroom is carpeted and smells bad, very very dated. Would not recommend

Husbands 60th birthday party. The staff were so helpful they even helped to decorate the room. The buffet was very well presented. Staff even helped us pack food away to take home at the end of the party
