It was good for family. It's like living in a real japanese house in a peaceful district. All store and mall are close then gaining time to visit a rich cultural and historical city. I like bathroom separate from toilet. I kept a very good souvenir.

The bathroom was really nice, the kitchen dining room allowed basic cooking and enough space to enjoy a meal together. The location is near the station (5 minutes walk) and two convenience stores.

The stairs are quite steep so could be a problem for some as the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. The mattresses were not very comfortable. Too hard. Otherwise it was clean and had the basic necessities.

"Passable but unlikely to stay again if the beds aren't changed. Didn't notice the exit sign everyone is talking"

Location is decent. Moving luggage upon room being ready. Friendly staff and good check in process. The dreaded exit light which everyone mentioned wasn't seen. :)

Terrible beds. Creaking, sharp edges. Mosquito in room. The check in process isn't the most convenient (check in area far from actual property).

Walking distance from the Kyoto Station

We arrived at around 9 pm. SInce we cannot read Japanese, it took time for us to reach the place. Perhaps a signage that the property is towards a particular alley could help. But other than that, everything is fine.
