GALAXY LAKE VIEW STUDIO

No shuttle or taxi service available in Tekapo to assist in transferring from the bus to accommodation. No left luggage facilities available. Check out is 10 am and bus leaves to Queenstown at 12.50. A long time to be lugging heavy luggage about, instead of being able to use the time to explore the beautiful landscape

Comfortable, clean with everything for a short break

Not a good walk back from the lake in the dark but fine if driving

There was a view as the name suggests. The key was in a lock box so had no contact with the owners but had received a code by email earlier in the day which worked well.

The studio was very compact. Very little space between the bed & kitchen units and nowhere to put suitcases! There was no mirror in the bathroom, tiny hand basin and no toilet seat lid. There were cables hanging down from the TV -which we did not use! We could not open the window for fresh air as the heat pump/air conditioning unit for the upstairs apartment was just above and was cycling on & off all night. Parking was also a bit tight for 2 cars for both the studio and appartement as there was a large garage door with a Keep Clear sign.

The table top was wobbly. There was only one decent wine glass and utensils were lacking, ie: a sharp knife would have been good.

The fridge was broken

We enjoyed the quiet and wonderful location very much

Lack of storage, no mirror in bathroom, Wi-Fi faulty

Great location and amazing views of Lake Tekapo and the mountains. Just a short walk to town and to the lake. It was quiet and warm. Just a small room but fine for 2 people. Having a little fridge with an icebox was super handy.

Bed was quite hard. Limited utensils supplied. Smelt damp on arrival. Maybe a lid on the toilet would be good (just a thought)
