No storage space in bathroom.

The property sits overlooking the lake and the snow capped mountains. The view is brilliant even when it rains! The property was cosy and the hosts had put the heater on prior to our arrival and we were very grateful for that. The property was clean and comfortable and met our needs.

Limited space for two people with suitcases.

The room was modern and clean with a lovely view.

Although the place was modern and bright the design and layout was very bad making our stay quite uncomfortable even for one night. I read other reviews which mentioned the lack of space, but I thought it couldn't be that small....I was wrong. The room and bathroom seemed set up for a disabled or elderly person with hand rails in the bathroom and a ramp at the entrance. The room would have been ok with a single bed. It was very difficult for 2 people with 2 suitcases and 2 small bags plus a bag of food to fit in the room. There was not enough floor space to have the luggage lying on the floor and still be able to get to the bathroom or kitchenette without a real hassle and there was no where to put a coat (except on the bed). It would have been okay for travellers with a small bag each. We have been travelling for 3 weeks and this stay was our second last night and it was the most uncomfortable place in our whole trip simply due to the tight space and lack of thought of travellers needs. The price was exactly what we had paid for other places in Queenstown,TeAnau,Christchurch,Rotorua,Taupo, but none this small with such a lack of thought for travellers needs, such as space for luggage. The kitchenette had no bench space to do anything. The space was seriously tight, yet the bathroom was very spacious (to accomodate a wheel chair) but there were no towel rails (2 small hooks), no mirror (yet a powerpoint and hairdryer) and no bench or shelf or any space around the basin for anything, so all toiletries had to go on the floor and there was no lid on the toilet which was just a bit odd. It's a shame because it was a really nice place and if the owners put the microwave on a wall shelf allowing bench space, put a mirror and shelf in the bathroom and put some hooks in the room for coats, it would be heaps better. Also, an outdoor light would help.
