Hyatt Place Evansville

Got charged extra to my card and when asked for a receipt the manager said they “don’t do those”. After watching another person be given a receipt for a purchase, I asked again to get the receipt from the “purchase” I made at 2am while asleep. Manager again said she couldn’t do that right now, but she would later and call me. Never called. I only used my card one place in Evansville and it was at the Hyatt check-in. I don’t know if an employee added charges to my card, they have a skimmer, or what. Because again, the manager refused to show me a receipt or video footage.

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. From the start, the check-in process was extremely slow, and the wait time was excessive with no clear communication or urgency from staff. There was also confusion and inconsistency regarding member benefits. My mother was informed at check-in that she was entitled to two complimentary waters as part of her membership. However, when she attempted to retrieve them, front desk staff argued with her and denied the benefit. The interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational. She eventually received her complimentary water after advising the staff she in fact was a member. Due to the tone of the staff member, I chose not to pursue anything further myself. I instead purchased a bottled Pepsi, only to discover it had already been opened. Later, while at the bar, we waited an extended period without being acknowledged or served. Overall, the primary issue was the lack of professionalism and customer service. The property itself may have potential, but service standards and staff training clearly need improvement. Based on this experience, I would hesitate to return. Cleanliness was great though.

No shampoo or soap in the shower. this should have never happened if the staff had done their job. This added stress to a already stressful trip. I want a refund.

Location for what we wanted to do. Very nice place to stay.
