TownePlace Suites Midland South/I-20

Next to I20 on the southwest part of Midland so it’s convenient for travelers. The good restaurants are in the opposite side of town. Very pleasant staff.

I rarely submit reviews, but I am a very frequent traveler. The hotel is light, clean and new and the attendant was very friendly and provided a great, quick overview of the hotel.

This property said it was pet friendly. NOTHING was said about a charge on Expedia's site, nor at the hotel. Instead, I was notified of a $100 charge on my CC AFTER we left the next morning. If I had been made aware of that, we would have stayed elsewhere as others were half that price. I'm disappointed that Expedia did not make us aware of this when we were booking.

Front desk clerk was amazing!

•Roaches •Rude Staff •Unaccommodating to members and non members •Will not honor late checkouts when late checkout are guaranteed to certain levels. The management at this hotel is not only rude but very unaccommodating to regular guests and those who have titanium/ambassador status.... When I checked in things went smooth... The rooms were okay but had issues see comments below When it came to extending and the hotel was getting busy they went down hill... They will not honor any titanium elite benefits... They do not offer points or bonus gift... They do not honor late check out... The room looked clean upon first appearance but while using the restroom there is mold in the corner by the showers... The showers don't have doors so water shoots out and you can tell when they clean they let it sit and accumulate mold... The towels had stains... The room they put me in was suppose to be king but it was a queen... The hallways and guest room had roaches... West Texas is hard to find good hotels but this being a new hotel shouldn't of had so many issues... Let me also ad while I was having my issues... A lady (Caucasian) asked if they were hiring front desk they gave her an application... about 10 mins later another lady came in (hispanic) asked for an application for same position... Now they say only hiring for house keeping... Things like that I do not find appropriate.... I feel this hotel will not prosper far with the current management... Marriott should consider finding new staff if they plan to prosper in this area... Word of mouth goes far and none of my employees will ever be placed at this hotel again... I will see to it that anyone I do business with in the Permian Basin is also made aware of the lack of accommodations at this hotel... After seeing the other reviews I notice that my issues are ongoing issues and it is not just me so be very aware when staying at this hotel. You will not be pleased after your stay especially if you are a platinum, titanium or ambassador status.... Most hotels treat returning Marriott members great... This ones lacks in cleanliness, respect and accommodations

Great sheets & comforter

This was the nicest, largest room, bathroom and kitchen in my cross-country trip. I loved the kitchen! Even though was just one night it was super convenient for the 3 meals I made for myself. The guy who checked me in was super sweet but did 2 odd charges with the room charge, and the next morning the lady at the front desk had to fix it.

Staff was rude

This was my 2nd stay at this property. I had no issues with my first stay which was two (2) weeks. A month later I came back for a one week stay. At check-in I was given a room that was occupied and had to come back down to front desk to get a different unoccupied room. Upon entering my newly assigned room I noted several stains on the carpet, not sure if food or mud. Later that evening while sitting on couch I observed a mouse scamper across the living room floor towards kitchenette. I then proceeded to inspect kitchenette and found numerous mouse droppings on counter top. It appears the mice are hiding out behind dishwasher and underneath sink. Definitely need to clean carpet between stays and wipe down counter tops.
