Yachtsman Ocean Front Resort

Old place, musty big time. Fair at best.

The elevator was broken and room was leaking water. The most troubling was the words stating this is murder beach.That was alarming and frightening

Convenient to all of down town.what i didnt like no smoking and pool are nasty.

Pros: • The price was reasonable for what you get. • The location is excellent — probably the best I’ve had in Myrtle Beach. It’s right by the SkyWheel, only about 3 minutes to Family Kingdom, and around 10 minutes to Broadway at the Beach. Cons: • I stayed in the South Tower and expected it to be a little nicer based on the photos I saw before booking. From what I can tell, the pictures online are mostly from the mirrored central tower, which looks like it has nicer rooms (and most likely a higher price). • I’ve stayed at hotels with better cleanliness. • The pool area was just OK, and a couple of pools were closed during my stay. Overall: For the price, it was fine. It’s not the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Myrtle Beach, but considering the location and cost, it can be a decent option depending on your budget and expectations.

Rooms outdated and smelled old

I did not anything about this property, it had black mold in the bathroom wall alone with a hole, the blow dryer caught a fire when turned on, the tub was dirty as well as the carpet,the love seat and the smaller chair in the living room, the racks in the frig was rusted, the phone was not even hooked up and there was a roach. It was nasty nasty

The check in area needed work, but the room was excellent.

I spent extra for a deluxe room, only to have a view of the pool and parking lot. One day was without AC. One night without a shower because it was flooding the room below us. There was no seal below the door to the outside, so bugs just came in, especially since that's where the trash is. I expect a partial refund.

CONS-Room was very dated. Bed was small for a supposed Queen, more of a full size. Toilet was not completely secured to floor…could wobble it while sitting. Reached out to management to repair, but never happened. PROS- Great location, walk straight out to beach. Pool was clean area well kept. Room was clean. All in all, for the price it was okay. Other hotels in that location were significantly more expensive, so as long as you have realistic expectations it’s fine.

I have to admit the place was dated and rusted but extremely clean from the room, bathroom, pool area and the exterior. The staff were courteous and helpful. Everything is so close, a convenient market right across from the resort, bars, restaurants, attractions and the beach. Location is phenomenal.
