Yachtsman Ocean Front Resort

The front desk clerk Lamoy? Darker toned lady with glasses and puffy hair, was super dude. Annoyed bc she had to give us swimming towels. Annoyed bc the key fob had to be reprogrammed. Not welcoming or hospitable at all. The location is good but rooms are very dated and a lot of the features didn’t work, lightning, etc. pools kept closing. The only good part was Renee the manager she was nice. Friendly helpful and very kind to our family.

Amazing location with a great view of the ocean and pier 14. Only complaint is the room was dirty, had not been swept, mopped or vacuumed, mirrors dirty etc. NO BUGS, so that was a huge plus. We would definitely stay again.

The room we got was a lot cheaper than any other hotel, but there were some caveats. The room was a little rough as there were drawers that wouldn't open, some paint chips, and very outdated. But that didnt reallh bother me. I was just afraid i wohld get blamed for some of it. I didn't yet so fingers crossed. The pool was kind of nasty in my opinion but we are more ocean people anyways. Unfortunately one day both elevators were out of order and we had to walk 9 floors. Thank god they were fixed by that evening to where we only had to make thag nightmare of a trip once. I didn't see any cleaners while i was there but i did see their carts and the room was pretty clean so i wont complain about that. If you dont require too much then this is a good cheap place to stay. I do wish the parkjng was closer to the hotel as you have to cross 2 streets to get to it. They do have 15 minute parking to load/unload so that was nice. Not terrible but not great but for the price, I'd probably stay again.

Nice place

It is very outdated and parts of the room were in disrepair, ie cabinet doors broken, shower water control fell off, entry door handle extremely loose making it hard to unlock and enter. Elevators broke and the manager had no idea when they would be repaired. For two people in their 70s with mobility issues, it was extremely difficult to deal with on the day of checking out because we were on the 11th floor. Customer service was extremely poor! It's disappointing that Yachtsman has been allowed to deteriorate so much from the level it once was. The only positive thing I can say about it now is that it has a great location!

I was displeased with my check in host. She was giving instructions to multiple families at once whereas it was a confusing check in. Once she handed me my keys and car pass she turned away to talk to another family…. I then asked “where should we park!” She told me “let her finish talking with this family and I will get to that next!” I feel like she should have handled one family at a time and been more pleasant

We were supposed to have an extra bed in our room but we didn’t or extra sheets and bedding. The couch was extremely uncomfortable the bed was hard. Could use some updates.
