Guest House Matana Pomena

The family who run the property were so friendly and helpful. The meal we had was delicious - with freshly caught fish on the day, homegrown vegetables and after dinner home produced liqueur. A great location right by the entrance to the national park and the harbour. I would highly recommend a stay here. Plus they have goats that you are welcome to go visit!!

Amazing location, friendly host, large apartment

Perfect location - just next to National Park & the beach. Hosts are very friendly & gave us all useful tips for our stay in Mljet. Apartment perfect for a couple, clean & cozy.

Very good location just next to the pathway into the forest and lake area of the Mljet National Park. The host was very friendly and helpful. He showed us a map over the park and gave some suggestions what to do. Very beautiful view from the balcony in our apartment. The guest house also runs a restaurant with freshly caught fish.

Just a tiny little detail but the tap in the shower was inverted to how it normally is. Hot was to the right and cold to the left, which made me confused.

The owners were very nice but this didn’t really compensate for the fact the room was tiny, airless and had a broken window shutter which meant light streamed in at sunrise; and the air-con unit directly above the bed just added to the nocturnal misery. Maybe the other rooms are better - who knows? In short, there are better budget options in Mljet.
