Great North Hotel

Junior suite was very comfortable and good value for money.

No opening window, therefore the air conditioning has to be constantly on to cool the room. Wider curtains would be required to block out the early sun light. A central light would improve the lighting as the room is very dark (only one small window for a large room).

Convenient location with easy access to and from A1. Very good facilities and friendly staff. Decor was smart and had an individual style. The breakfast menu offer was much better than most hotels these days which only offer a buffet

The double bed was two singles joined together and seemed to sag a little in the middle but otherwise the room was very comfortable.

Convenient location for going North of Newcastle. Quite easy to park. Efficient staff.

A bit tricky to turn into the hotel - especially as there is a bus lane with fines. OK once you know where to turn.
