It is a great place in an exceptionally beautiful area

The cottage overlooks a lovely field that you can enjoy. Plenty of wildlife to see with a pond at the bottom with somewhere to sit and swings as well. The cottage was well equipped with plenty of utensils in the kitchen. Plenty of parking.

The double mattress could do with being replaced. On the second night we slept in the twin bedroom as it was more comfortable. The fire alarm in the kitchen is too sensitive, opening the over or cooking toast would set it off. My husband spent his time resetting it whilst I cooked.

Lovely cottage. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! Location was lovely and we went on lots of walks with our children and dog. Great hot tub for evening and morning dip! Hosts were friendly and easily contactable

Beautiful cottage, in beautiful surroundings. The local pub is within walking distance of the property, and the food was lovely. The only thing I would suggest (not a criticism) would be a few more lights around the hot tub and some by the lake would just finish off the whole beautiful experience, plus some outside blankets for those chilly nights. Our stay was finished off with a day in Whitby, which is only 40mins away.

Fantastic cottage with great amenities The family running it and the surrounding farm and timber yard all lovely, bumped into them and chatted but they weren’t intrusive at all. Very well thought out cottage with well equipped kitchen and even robes to use for hot tub. Lovely views and we had a great stay. Definitely will be back again! :-)

Nothing major! Bed weren’t the comfiest ever, not bad managed to still sleep well but mattresses felt a little flimsy.

It's was lovely and peaceful. Very rural, beautiful walks and the surrounding area if fabulous.

The cottage is on a working cattle farm which didn't bother us but could put some people off
