Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Aurora

The room was very clean, but also very small. The service when we arrived was amazing and Kevin made us feel very welcome. Our biggest issue was the funky smell in our room that was definitely a sewer smell coming from the drain (shut the bathroom door at night and it was potent when we opened the door), but also a marijuana smell. The halls smelled of marijuana which isn’t necessarily the hotels fault, but may be a clientele issue. Our toilet also broke while we were there and I am a DIY person and couldn’t fix it until later (yes, I fixed it, not hotel staff!). There was no one to repair it and two of the bathrooms in the lobby were out of toilet paper. For $300 a night, I expect a functioning toilet and someone to repair it ASAP.

The room was spacious and clean. T.V. was a decent size. Breakfast was good and 24hr. coffee station was nice to have. Also the bathroom and shower were a good size as well.

Was not aware that is was an adjoining room until after checking in. Would have preferred not to have that. Also the entrance door to the room did not automatically close as it did not square into the frame and had to be manually shut.

Convenience and feel like vacation at home

Breakfast is typical unhealthy North American breakfasts! Give me European any day. fresh fruit salads, variety of fresh cheeses, good quality bread, hot boiled eggs. Sorry guys but for the price it was awful . I guess cooking for the North American diet of fast unhealthy food is what most people want but not me.

I stayed at the Microtel Inn for three nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, creating a cozy and relaxing environment. Every staff member I encountered was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive—making me feel truly at home from the moment I arrived. I want to give special recognition to Sali at the front desk, who made a lasting impression on me. I met her several times during my stay, and each time she handled guests with remarkable patience, professionalism, and genuine kindness. She clearly knows her job well and always goes above and beyond to ensure every guest’s needs are met. I also observed how other guests interacted with her—everyone seemed to appreciate her respectful, positive, and cheerful attitude. Sali’s warm and caring approach truly reflects the hotel’s commitment to excellent customer service. She is an incredible asset to the Microtel team and one of the main reasons I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay—with a team that truly cares about its guests!

Beautiful motel room, spacious and modern. The fellow working behind the desk was friendly and helpful. There are several great restaurants just a short walk away. We especially loved The Keg Steakhouse. A hot breakfast was included. Plus the motel is only a 30 minute drive to the airport. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay with services close by.

Property was super clean inside and out. Lots of options for breakfast.
