Staff were amazing ! Great customer service and place was very clean!

The entire 3rd floor had very creaky floors. Our room in particular was very creaky all around the high traffic walking areas.

We had a great stay for our hockey tournament, great location close to the Magna Center. This hotel was so accommodating to our team. All the front desk staff was friendly right from check in, to countless keys needed, to getting us extra forks when all the boys decided to eat cup of noodles. Some notable items; the breakfast was replenished quickly, the spacious lobby/eating area we used all throughout the day, the conference room was opened to allow mini stick games, the pool has a big water slide and the handy snack store was perfect for a few last minute snacks. This hotel is doing service right! Kudos Microtel. Also walking distance to Homesense & Farm Boy - perfect for a fresh air afternoon stroll.

We had a great experience here at the Microtel in Aurora. We stayed here while our dog had surgery nearby. The first night our dog was with us and the hotel is very accepting of dogs. There are lots of grassy arrears to walk and streets all around with sidewalks for longer walks. The area is quiet with very little traffic. The hotel staff went above and beyond to meet our needs and were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms (we stayed in 2) were well appointed although simple. The breakfast was good with many things to choose from. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, fried potatoes, hard boiled eggs, waffles, hot cereal, cold cereal, assorted bread products and fruits, I really didn't expect this much. But really what makes this place special is the staff.

The room was very clean, but also very small. The service when we arrived was amazing and Kevin made us feel very welcome. Our biggest issue was the funky smell in our room that was definitely a sewer smell coming from the drain (shut the bathroom door at night and it was potent when we opened the door), but also a marijuana smell. The halls smelled of marijuana which isn’t necessarily the hotels fault, but may be a clientele issue. Our toilet also broke while we were there and I am a DIY person and couldn’t fix it until later (yes, I fixed it, not hotel staff!). There was no one to repair it and two of the bathrooms in the lobby were out of toilet paper. For $300 a night, I expect a functioning toilet and someone to repair it ASAP.

The room was spacious and clean. T.V. was a decent size. Breakfast was good and 24hr. coffee station was nice to have. Also the bathroom and shower were a good size as well.

Was not aware that is was an adjoining room until after checking in. Would have preferred not to have that. Also the entrance door to the room did not automatically close as it did not square into the frame and had to be manually shut.
