Lindean Guest House

Very comfortable warm and spotless room. Lovely warm and reliable shower and the bed was so comfortable. What more can I say - oh and the 10 item breakfast was - wow! Sally and Ian made us very welcome and we were treated more like house guests than clients.

We were well catered and cared for. Dumfries and the surrounding area are always worth the visit. The people are friendly and the coastline is stunning.

I recently returned to Lindean Guest House in Dumfries as it is my preferred accommodation when on business in the area. Great customer care provided and above average rooms with excellent breakfast and free parking available. Definitely recommend, very close to town centre yet a quiet, comfortable stay.

Cannot fault anything.

Sally and Ian are exceptional hosts, nothing was too much bother, they went above and beyond, making us feel very welcome. The facilities are excellent, everything and more provided and all of a high standard. Fantastic place and brilliant value for money.

Nothing we could find that we didn't like.

Feels more like a luxury boutique hotel than a guest house. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room had everything one could ask for and it was very cosy. The breakfast was delicious and there was a wide selection of different food options. The place is located close to the railway station and a walk to the town centre will only take about 5 minutes. I'll happily rebook it if I ever visit Dumfries again.

This is the cleanest most well appointed guest house that we stayed in. As well, the owners are so helpful and personable that you felt very welcomed and comfortable. For sure this is a perfect place to stay when visiting Dumfries.

There are no negatives to this Guest House.

As usual the hosts, Sally & Ian, were truly exemplary. They offer a traditional or specific breakfast; the common room small frig holds, a yoghurt, juice, etc., if a person feels a need. They even produced an alarm clock for myself, for an early morning to meet 2 trains. We had a couple of chats, as they had met and enjoyed the company of my cousin, who was not well. The rooms and the whole entity are so clean that a nurse could not find fault. Everything has been modernized (ie a vanity mirror that is magically lighted!!!). I would say that they run a 'tight ship', but with humour and kindness at the fore.

The fact that I could not stay a longer period.

This attractive guesthouse is perfectly positioned for the railway station and town centre. Ian and Sally were the perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough to make my stay pleasant and smooth. My room was bright and airy, with no sound from the road. The selection of teas and coffees supplied were a welcome surprise too. The breakfast choice was amazing - I wish I could’ve sampled every option! Maybe next time I visit….

Personally I prefer a softer bed, but that’s just me…
