The Talkhouse

Staff were really friendly and chatty. Really nice pub to sit by the fire for a couple of drinks. Room nice and clean, decent size but metal bar to hang clothes is positioned badly and nearly knocked myself out as it was so close to bed when getting out and moving around. Would happily stay again.

The staff were not attentive and actually ignored us when we walked through, people in the bar told us what to do and where to wait - very rude. The room was just awful, damp, smelly, spiders, no hot water and had clearly had damp just painted over on the walls. It was absolutely appalling and if we had not been short on time we would have left this property

Great location, very comfortable bed and great amenities in the room, we’re worried the rooms were on the beer garden but was very quiet when we stayed (tues night) was ideal for staying with our dog when he needed to go out overnight.

Walls are a bit thin between rooms, could here neighbours

I didnt have breakfast, but the location to get into Oxford is superb avoiding morning traffic. The evening food is exceptional, staff are friendly and welcoming, free parking and the rooms are comfortable enough.
