Thompson Dallas, by Hyatt

Thompson Dallas is a great looking hotel with the trappings of a 5-star hotel but the 5-star experience finishes after check-in. The check-in experience was amazing but once we got to the room, that's where it stopped being great. The room was covered in dust, the shower jets had limescale which meant the shower experience wasn't great. Mini-bar was stocked very well and the room was a very good size and the entertainment system worked well too. However, we had to call twice to get the dust cleaned and even though we requested room cleaning at check-in and selected the option in the morning, there was no service for the duration of our stay. The restaurants were a mess with staff complaining of being under-staffed and people waiting for over an hour for breakfast.

The location was close to an event we were going to. The staff are really helpful and Carlos (Little Daisy) is amazing

The noise is endless. Cars, sirens, trams… it didn’t stop ever. Being on the 17th floor did not help drown it out at all. The food in Little Daisy is very disappointing so would recommend not getting breakfast included and to just eat out. The pillows are so soft. It’s hard to get a good nights sleep (especially combining the pillows with the noise)

Hotel is showing wear and tear, the sound insulation is terrible, you can hear eventhing on the street, and being downtown, it getas noisy. Elevators are extrememly slow and if there are a lot of guests staying at the hotel, you can expect a very long wait.

The staff was fantastic at this fabulous hotel. From valet to room service, flawless execution and hosting. Natalie and Kevin were particularly outstanding. Cannot go wrong with this choice. Stunning rooms and great views.

Incredibly unfriendly and rude staff at the concierge. Visited this location on Tuesday November 11th, 2025. At 4pm that afternoon, I attempted to return to the building through a side entrance with double doors and a spinning entry way. When I tried the door, it wouldn’t open and as I could see 4 staff members standing behind the concierge desk, 3 women and 1 man. I could see them snickering and talking to each other as I struggled with the door. After plenty of time without any assistance from these people, I walked the perimeter of the building looking for another entrance. Once I finally made my way inside and was able to walk past their desk, they were incredibly rude when saying that entrance does not work. I suggested to place some form of sign on the doors stating they’re out of order or where the other closest entrance is, and as an acknowledgement, the male employee sarcastically stated “We’ll put up that sign just for you”. This comment was incredibly unnecessary and unprofessional, especially coming from the very first face I see entering this hotel. This alone made for the entire experience to be unpleasant. I will not be returning and will be encouraging others to look elsewhere also.

This experience is the worst I ever had in Dallas. The A/C would not adjust to your preferred room temperature. I called front desk and they told me they could not help me. The hotel needs an upgrade!

Beautiful space with lovely staff-from the valet to front desk and bar. Location was perfect for a quick Dallas trip to celebrate with friends. Would return.

This is very nice hotel with lots of amenities. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well appointed.

Beautiful hotel with some of the best restaurants in Dallas! The quality of the rooms are amazing and the ambiance of the entire hotel is top notch.
