Hotel Indigo - Columbus at Riverfront Place by IHG

Was supposed to have a king room. They gave me a lower tier room and it’s was late so I just went to sleep

The staff were immediately helpful. The pool was very nice and enjoyable. The location was great! Close the river and lots of downtown shops and restaurants.

Confusing naming between Indigo Columbus in Georgia and Indiana, lead us to book the wrong hotel. Both are located at a river front. We were left with no reservation and a no show fee at the hotel. Luckily the local Indigo in Indiana had a room free and managed to accommodate our stay, but neither Indigo in Georgia or Booking customer service responded and helped us navigate through this situation, or helped avoid the no show fee. Also the hotel did not respond to our messages prior arrival, about the ask for a baby crib and us informing them about a late checkin.

Great hotel good atmosphere great location for Columbus. I’m stationed at Ft Benning and was celebrating getting married to my great wife. Went for a nice night out and drove my 81 VW Rabbit Truck. I asked the valet driver whether or not he could drive a manual, he said “You mean a stick, yeah I’m good for it” and I gave him the keys. Later that day I got my car back had a dinner reservation and tried to put it into first gear, noticing right away a serious bend in the shifter, the car immediately went backwards. I limped the car to dinner and called the hotel reporting what had happened. Again talking to the staff that evening and that following morning they said it would be handled and taken care of and “that man is not allowed allowed to drive a manual he doesn’t know how” this was not true. The Valet insurance, Gallagher Basset, is a horrible company to deal with Specifically Stephanie Javier, she rare my responds to calls or emails and informed me that they were denying liability for the incident. The manger and valet manager both state he should not have been driving the car and I am told the driver himself admitted he was at fault. I don’t know what the disconnect is but I will never be staying at a IHG hotel again solely because of the Valet service.

Beautiful property, great food, great service.

Property was beautiful.

The dirty blanket that was put back on the bed with clean sheets. Ketchup, coffee and shoe print on the blanket. Front desk sent a manager to the room with a clean blanket, but no one to change out the blanket. There were signs of the previous guest in the shower and housekeeping wouldn’t speak in the hall.

Great customer service

We had such a great time!!! All the staff made us feel right at home. Everyone we came in contact with made us feel welcomed (Mercedes, the valet staff, the bartender on the rooftop bar, security at the upstairs bar on Friday night, and the lady that checked us in) they all provided outstanding customer service. My wife and I already have been talking about if we was to ever come back, this will be the hotel we’re gonna stay in and we will also be looking for this hotel chain for future trips. Thank you so much for making our short trip that much pleasant.
