the service and the facilities were top notch room was very nice .the staff and the owner and family ,everyone was very welcoming the best stay we had in srilanka the welcome drink provided also was too good and the safari by upul,it was the icing on the cake would definitely recommend anyone coming to udawalawe that he is the man for making your trip memorable

The perfect stay! Upul and his family are wonderful hosts. They always take care about you. We were welcomed with fresh juice and cake. The room was nice and equipped. We highly recommend to do safari tour with Upul. We were Able to see elephants, crocodiles, birds, monkeys, lizards and deer. The tour last 5 hours and the price was worth it. The hotel is really good located. There are multiple restaurants near by. Sleeping with birds sounds is perfect. The breakfast was nice. Highly recommended if you stay in Udawalawe.

Run by a lovely, talkative, and knowledgable family. Cute individual hits with plenty of character, surrounded by pretty sculpted gardens. Arranged a great safari for us with scope for personalisation. Also cooked a feast for us in the evening. Overall incredible value for money - you can’t go wrong staying for a night for a safari. Location is also ideal, being around the corner from a sports bar for a bit of pool when recovering from the safari.

Very cool and unique looking place. Had a very welcoming feel to the place. The host was magnificent, friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. Organised a safari for us including a great picnic lunch and a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. Served up an exceptional evening meal too.

El hotel es bonito, las habitaciones también lo son (aunque un poco oscuras) y la cama resultó cómoda.

No tienes opción de cenar si no lo avisas con antelación. Además, contratamos el safari que ofrecen porque había leído muy buenas recomendaciones, pero fue una gran decepción. Nos dijo el dueño que lo haría el o su hermano, y finalmente vino un chico que apenas explicó nada. La actividad fue prácticamente lo mismo que otras opciones de la zona, pero pagando el doble. No era para nada personalizado como nos comentó el dueño y el supuesto desayuno que incluye el safari es el desayuno que ya has pagado con la habitación. En conclusión, el hotel es bonito para dormir, pero no lo recomiendo, hay mejores opciones, más económicas y no vale la pena contratar el safari con ellos.

Preiswerte Unterkunft welche ziemlich gut gelegen war. Absolutes Highlight war natürlich die Safari, mit dem hauseigenen Jeep.

Eher enttäuschend war das Frühstück, welches während der Safari lieblos auf der Motorhaube aufgetischt wurde und nur aus Stärkebeilagen bestand.

Een erg leuke accomodatie, je waant je echt op safari. De kamers zijn schoon en voldoen aan alles wat je nodig hebt (koelkastje, airco, …) Wij boekten een safari erbij en de gastheer neemt je mee naar het Udawalawe National Park. Een aanrader!

Safari vonden wij wel prijzig. Maar vergelijkbaar met andere tours die ook dezelfde safari aanbieden.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per fare il safari a Udawalawe. Upul ci ha assistiti organizzandoci il tour ad un prezzo concorrenziale. L'esperienza è stata particolare perchè eravamo letteralmente immersi nella natura.

Abbiamo visitato questo posto in bassa stagione e in questo periodo la città non è molto attiva. Non è facile trovare una soluzione per la cena. La colazione, seppur completa, non ci ha entusiasmati. Da migliorare.
