Guesthouse Khazar in old city

Good experience here. The host was extremely helpful, very responsive over text, meeting us at the train station in the middle of the night upon our return and departure, even paying our cab driver when we didn't have local currency. The rooms were large and the kitchen had everything we needed. It is not a crowded hostel which is nice. Instead, it is a couple of free rooms living in a man's house (the host).

For female travelers, it's okay but some may feel a need for more boundaries.

Super old city with its fun mazes and small streets that Google maps does not capture. A few of the best restaurants with the walls. The price value makes it a super deal. Host is very helpful when around. Free laundry, relaxed home.

Notoriously hard to find the place. Like many places in AZ, no signs outside homestays.

The hotel is in the old city, behind the castle walls and near the ancient spots in Baku. Most of the touristy stuff is here. It's far from the roads which is nice in that it's really quiet, you don't hear traffic. I don't think the owner speaks English, I spoke to him in Russian, I was at another hotel and nobody there spoke Russian or English well so that was dificult. The owner was kind and he accepts payments in any currency. The hotel was very cheap, around 50 dollars for 6 nights or so.

The hotel was at first dificult to find though that's not their fault, the streets are very confusing in the old city, once I found it,I had no issue returning. I wouldn't blame the hotel since they can't change the navigability of the old center.

The hostel literally inside the walled old city in the middle part. Cars can enter but with parking fee, not use for taxi, but for sure you have to carry on your luggage to Hostel. The owner is very friendly. Hostel itself is very good location. Not crowded that makes it better.Recommended place in Baku City.

Guesthouse Khazar is an excellent value for money cheap option that lets you stay in the heart of the old town of Baku. I had my own small and cozy private room. The shared toilet and shower space was huge. The manager of the guesthouse is a lovely man who was very helpful, let me do two rounds of laundry for free and was always quick to help me with questions I had on WhatsApp. I booked for 3 days but ended up extending for a week.

The bedside lamp in my room wasn’t bright enough and the wire would cut out sometimes

There’s a lot to say about but nutshell it is close to all leisure places of Baku means on walking distance you can explore well. I am sure gonna recommend to all my acquaintances.

Everything was great. Location in the UNESCO city center in a cute house. The owner is super friendly, helpful. You can use kitchen amenities. Bathroom is big. The room is spacious, bed really comfortable. It's really clean. Just perfect.

First of all, big value for a money, second- host was really great, helped with advice etc, third- location in heart of Old City, meanwhile very quiet and calm, can take a rest, sit and have a glass of wine or cognac.
