The home was very beautiful and cozy, amenities were great, Shino was a great host, and the food she prepared for us was amazing. Our favorite meal from Shino was breakfast - it was the perfect way to start our hiking days!

Shino is an excellent host and ensured that we had everything and anything that you could possibly want. The property is lovely and quiet. Her dinner and breakfast were very tasty and greatly appreciated as we were walking the Kumano Kudo.

The house is very nice and has all that is needed. The meals prepared by the host were exeptional!

If you are doing the kumano kodo trail is almost 1h off the main trail and the host does not organize any transport.

The house is a wonderful 140-year-old traditional home, and it’s very spacious. There were two of us staying there. Shino is excellent and even helped me after I was no longer staying at the house

The food prepared by Shino-san was fantastic and the whole experience was wonderful. Shino-san was incredibly helpful and very easy to communicate with.

The futon mattress was a little thin and the duvet was a little thick.

very beautiful interior, and having a full japanese house experience with kotatsu and futon highly recommend it plus the host dose absolutely beautiful meals.

If you are doing the kumano kodo it a little far from the trail.
