"Great Camping"

10.0

Form the moment we pulled in we were treated like VIP's. My husband and our two horses camped over Labor day weekend for four days. It was exceptionally HOT, so I don't advise outdoor camping during this time of year. Luckily we were able to rent one of their bungalows which was equipped with 2 air conditioners. The grounds were very well maintained. The bathrooms and shower areas were very clean. The pool was nice and cold and the water was refreshing. We can't wait to come back when its a little more accommodating. The stalls for the horses were 4 panel pipe corral. Some stalls have shelters some don't. We just brought our water buckets and each set of stalls has its own water supply with hose. Area is large and round pen is perfect.

"Great camping out of the city"

10.0

We've camped here a few times and it's always quiet and serene. We went on a few hikes that start right at the campground and head up into the canyons. There is always so much to see, and the view from the top of the hills is amazing! It was fun to check out the geocaches around the area too. It's a fun place to camp or stay in your RV with their western cowboy themed decorations. There are usually hikers from the Pacific Crest Trail staying here too. They have laundry, a nice clean pool, and even little cabins to rent if tents aren't your thing. There are shade trees on almost all the spots, so nice in the summer. It gets a little windy sometimes, so don't forget your tent stakes. We hope we can come back soon!

"Great PCT Hiker Stop"

10.0

3.5 miles south of where PCT crosses Cal Hwy S2, just prior to Scissors Crossing, but pretty easy hitching, this place works very well for hikers. Beautiful pool, great laundry, shelter is just what is needed by a hiker, and overall price is right - good value. Store covers need for minimal hot meals onsite, including pizza & ice cream, although is not adequate for major resupply. Wi-Fi works great - free. Staff was very friendly & helpful, particularly Manager Mike. Staff provided ride for three of us back to Scissors Crossing early next AM. Only negative - no beer, but they are working on that.
