Wahiba Bedouin Rustic Camp

Everything it was a great taste of desert life... watching the sunset, night stars and sun rise. Listening to Bedouin stories and the history of the Wahiba sands, told around an open fire. The hospitality is true Omani nothing is too much trouble, 24hr hot and cold drinks, and dates. Breakfast and dinner buffets are traditional and good quality. I will return to enjoy everything that we didn't have the time to do on this trip. Quad bikes etc. Thank you Obaid and family

It’s so special to sleep here! The calm of the desert. The tent and the bathroom without roof so that you can see the moon while showering. Feeding the camels, milking the goats, hearing the stories about the Bedouin. Good food as well.

There are different mattresses, some quite hard, others more soft. Good to check if you have one you like.

Comfortable camp with nice bathroom. Also the dinner was really delicious. Nice staff and they give you a transportation to the camp (15 rial). Very recommended !

Somw trash near the camp

If you are looking for something authentic this is the place !!! We were very well welcomed by the hosts and quickly felt like home. Location is perfect, there are no other camps on sight and there are beautiful big sand dunes at a walking distance where you can enjoy sunset and sunrise. Food is good and can suit everyone's tastes - there are 24h free coffee, tea, fresh water and dates. A lot of free activities are offered : trying typical bedouin clothes and dance lesson, fire camp at night with a lot of exchanges and stories about bedouin culture and in the morning feeding baby goats and camels. You can also add others activities with a fee, such as camel or quad ride and 4x4 dune bashing (and we really appreciate that the hosts were not pushy to sell it).

- The extra charge for the 4x4 transfer is a bit expensive (15 RO for a ten minute drive) but almost all the camps are charging the same amount. - Mattress are a bit hard.

Right in the Wahiba desert. The room was confortable. The hosts are very friendly and the activities (free and paid) are awesome: bedouin dance, bedouin firecamp and stories, milking and feeding goats and camels. We also rented a quad

Had a great one night stay at Wahiba Bedouin Rustic Camp. Before we headed to Wahiba Sands, we got clear instructions to drive to the camp. The camp itself was located beautifully, next to a long row of sand dunes. We were pleased with the amount of free activities that were included in the price and had very nice chats with the owner and his son. They were very passionate about their Bedouin history and it was great to hear from them. Would definitely recommend!

The remote location, friendly staff and unique experience. We even slept outside under the beautiful stars!
