"Not a good alternative hotel"

After reading reviews, really thought this would be a good place to stay. We usually stay at the Marriott, but they were sold out as well as the Hilton. Only good about it, is the location to Mayo if the weather cooperates it is a nice walk to appointments. The shuttle also will pick you up. If you have a car.... DON'T stay at this hotel. They DO NOT have enough parking. There are 172 rooms and only 102 spaces, two of which are for electric cars. We were told there was alternative parking 4 blocks away and it would cost $2 per hour. NICE - NOT! Overall cleanliness not good. Blonde hair on the end table in the living room and a bread knife left near the TV. Ice bin in freeze full of crumbs. Vent in bathroom black with dirt/mold. Beds are not comfortable. Darken shade in room broken. Food.... just plain bad. Outside on the walkway, something had spilled (milky/sticky) looking and remained there our entire stay and people walked right through it. Not well kept.

The hotel was clean and the room was clean. However, the couch had a definite smell of urine. It was very strong. It is a pet friendly hotel so I was assuming it was animal urine? It was bothersome, but I did not mention it to the hotel staff.

"No parking! Very loud train noise"

I arrived to a front desk clerk handing me a sheet of paper informing me I needed to park blocks away on the street and set my alarm to move my car by 8:00am. What a joke! I had to haul my luggage down the block alone in the dark. I finally got settled in and just nodded off when there was a very loud train horn. So plan on no rest and street parking blocks away. Just absurd. NEVER AGAIN!
