The Brunswick

Had an wonderful 4 night stay at The Brunswick Hotel. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and spacious and the food was fantastic. We were able to relax in the bar area whilst the kids played in the games room and the pool. Cannot fault anything about this hotel.

Great hotel, very friendly helpful staff. Rooms were lovely good space, bathroom was good size. Very clean, very tidy and we'll decorated. Breakfast was good, service was excellent throughout our stay. Only as slight gripe was dodgy internet. Other than that happy to recommend and stay again.

Stayed 4 nights. Overall a good 3* hotel, great staff, nice indoor pool, room spacious but bathroom needs a deep clean (mould around bath). Breakfast good but different waitress’s got order wrong on two consecutive days, not a drama, just a little irritating. Did not eat in hotel in evening as only limited set menu so cannot comment. Lovely location, nice gardens to sit in, great views out to sea. Would we stay again... probably.

Only stayed one night, but would definitely retirn

We loved staying here. From arrival to departure, they couldn't have tried harder to make us feel comfortable and at ease. They straight away offered to change our room when they saw my 6 year old had trouble with stairs and were absolutely lovely with her throughout. She loved the indoor swimming pool and we both enjoyed the breakfasts and evening meals we had there. They were more than happy to recommend other places to eat, provide directions and extremely accommodating with last minute requests. The hotel location was perfect. A 5 min walk to Shanklin old village, and a 5-10 minute walk along the cliff path and down to the beach. Quiet, with lovely views of the sea and a nice garden with an outdoor pool (too chilly for us!). Parking easy and close to entrance. We certainly plan to return as it was ideal for us.

Three night stay from Thursday to Sunday. Made very welcome by the staff. Rooms well appointed and kept spotless. Sufficient variation of choice for breakfast Lovely garden and loungers provided for sitting in the sun. Good access to coastal path and beach. Adequate parking

I stayed in the hotel for 1 night on a work trip. We arrived very early and had breakfast straight away. The restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly, engaging in conversation. We left for work and arrived back at 11pm. There was nowhere local to eat so the night manager offered to make us some sandwiches which was very thoughtful. We ended up ordering takeaway so he gave us plates and cutlery to use in the bar area. The next morning we were greeted by amazing views overlooking the sea. The hotel looks like a cottage with vines growing up the walls and beautiful flowers planted everywhere. There is a heated indoor pool, outdoor pool and sauna which we could use for free (Unfortunately we didn't have enough time!) The receptionist gave us some good information about the local area and we took her advice and went for a stroll down the beach, just a 5 minute walk away. Later that day we came back for a refreshing beer overlooking the sea, The staff decided to gives the drinks on the house, a very kind gesture that made my day! We ended up talking to the room service staff (Who did an amazing job at tidying the rooms, absolutely spotless!) Most hotels make you leave by 11am but as no one was booked in our rooms that day, we could leave our bags in as long as we wanted! Overall I had a great experience. Lovely hotel and location, very friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, and all for a very good price. I can't wait to come back here again.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Made a short stay for me and my toddler really special. Will definitely stay again.
