The property is rather tired, dated and requires a deep clean. It is reasonably well located, with Shanklin Chine being within walking distance. The restaurant staff were excellent I found the reception and bar staff somewhat aloof.

All of the staff were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and positive. Nothing was to much trouble. House keeping was daily, changed towels, made beds, freshened cups, tea/coffee etc, all to a great standard. Breakfast was definitely missing mushrooms for me, but that's personal I know. I love melon, thankfully as it was the only fresh fruit, along with tinned prunes. Evening meal was good enough, can never have enough veg though, although these were a little sparce. However, saying that, if you wanted more, if only you asked, I'm sure you'd get some. Indoor pool was great! Ideal with wet weather, or just for fun or swimming. Only 1.2m deep, so not dangerous for younger ones, yet deep enough to swim for adults. Doing breast stroke you'd manage 7 strokes to the other side. It has Sauna (never seen anyone use it) if you want to, you have to give 40 minutes notice, so the staff can get it ready. Outside pool is another bonus! Only it's far too cold for our stay. There is a games room, with. Small pool/snooker table with two mini cues. My son made friends at the hotel and they played in there everyday. It is adjacent to the lounge area, but has a dividing door. They certainly need some new board games for children, those there are incomplete. Adults in the lounge area seem to of been playing domino, cards, backgammon etc it is a very relaxed hotel, especially for families. My son and I loved our stay there, definitely recommend. 10 minute walk to Shanklin, close to village, beach.

Really pleased with our stay at the hotel. Staff are extremely friendly and hospitable, it’s really clean in all areas and there was a range of items to choose from at breakfast, as well as a good selection of courses to choose from in the evening. My daughter is quite a fussy eater and the kitchen staff adapted the menu every evening to cater for her. Definitely going to stay here again!

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Food was good, decor could do with a little update.

Great Hotel for value and location. The staff are lovely and so accommodating. The bed was a bit small and the room was facing east overlooking the sea and because it was a couple of hotr days the room warmed up very quickly and although they gave us a fan it was sitll quite hot all night (not as if i am complaining as i like hot weather) the internet in the room was a biot hit and miss but they did say Wifi in the lobby so again just an observation. Ample free on site parking.

Character, comfort, cleanliness. Other person in party had room noisy early am.

Lovely hotel and really friendly staff

It is perfect for short breaks ,nice indoor swimming pool , friendly receptionist. It is what you can expect from 3 stars hotel.

Amazingly friendly hotel. Good facilities and food was good.

On arrival at hotel we were greeted by Rachel and Beth. Very pleasant and such a smooth unhurried check in. Me and my Daughter went to indoor pool which was a lovely bonus after a long journey. My Mother and Father has some complimentary Tea and biscuits which was a nice touch. We had evening set dinner which was 3 course for £15. Very good value. Bar was well stocked and also had a entertainer playing live. Good bedrooms.Free WiFi hit and miss. Great breakfast. A wonderful time had by all. Thank you so much👍
