Oakland Motel

The property was clean except for the mold on the bathroom ceiling. The pictures on the website are misleading. The staff were friendly, but not onsite.

The place is outdated and a dump! The place is far from Wisp Ski Resort and I accidentally booked this place, but thought I would try it. The pictures of the rooms seem fine. The rooms are outdated and the photos are misleading.

It was very close town and easy to get in and out of. It had a nice size fridge and microwave. Walking distance to restaurants and CVS and Walgreens.

Had to check in at a different location but it was a short distance away.

Blood stains on the only available chair in the room. Not enough towels.

The room was beautifully, but basically appointed. It was very comfortable and cozy. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and accommodating.

It is an older building and the exterior makes you wonder about the interior, but once I entered the room, I was well satisfied.

Old, outdated

The room looked clean - that was about it.

The bathroom ceiling and part of the walls were covered in mold. They had taken out the tub and put in a walk-in shower but the shower curtain wasn't long enough so the bathroom flooded. The bed was as hard as a rock! They changed the door code while we were out and we couldn't get in or get help. The TV screen only showed a small square in the center. There were no plug ins on one side of the bed. We had to go down to another motel that has the same ownership to check in and out. The boy at the front desk was very rude and hung up on me when I tried to report the issues. I called after we got home and they were to call the owner so that he could call me to voice my complaints. FRANKLY I think we deserve at least a partial refund. So far the owner hasn't gotten back with me. I was born and raised in Garrett County and I was disgusted with this and had no choice because everywhere else was fully booked due to my wife's class reunion.
