Breakfast was good. Access to the road was iffy.

Not sure if the a/c worked. Didn't need it.

The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean as well as the room. We enjoyed our stay.

I didn't like that there wasn't anyone in the office for check in at 8pm. We had to call a number to talk to someone.

Nicely decorated. Good location.

Poorly lit room. Noisy drains. Poor tub shower set up.

Little to like about Oakland motel. Smily and rundown room where we couldn’t even lock the door properly as the bolt was missing. Luckily got moved to the sister motel, Oak-Mar, that offered a reasonably safe and pleasant environment, however a room with double beds instead of a king bed was the only option. Appreciate the front desk offering at least this option. Otherwise, we would have had to look for another hotel.

In a nutshell, Oakland motel is unacceptable for the price charged. No office on site and a shady environment. To make matters worse, noticed upon departure that our room rate for the second night had gone up from $105 to $165. Not sure whose fault is that, but I feel blinded. I didn’t notice this sharp rate change when I booked the location. Definitely not worth the money and disappointed by the experience.
