Garrya Nijo Castle Kyoto

Hotel was amazing. Interior design exceeded expectations. staff was friendly and accommodating.

This place was absolutely gorgeous and clean. The included breakfast was delicious, healthy, and so complete. This is one of the best hotels where we have stayed in our travels through different countries for sure. Highly recommended. A few steps from the train station so its location is super convenient. Highly recommended. So beautiful. 5 stars - no question.

beautiful spot and experience....worth the price

Superb property, service was best we’ve experienced in Japan. Rooms are compact but immaculate and so well designed. Love it.

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Our room was absolutely beautiful and the service We were warmly welcomed. Room was serviced daily along with turn down in the evening. The bed was huge and very comfortable with very nice linens. Breakfast was first class, excellent. We are english speaking and it was nice that the t.v. allowed us to cast netflix so we could watch at bedtime in english. Location is excellent - very convenient to all necessities and shopping. 100% reccomend and would return.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out. The level of service that I received at this place was far and above better than any service I have received at any hotel I've ever stayed at. Breakfast I had every morning was expertly made and absolutely delicious. The view of Nijo Castle from my room was the highlight of the room for me. Nothing is more relaxing a nice hot bath and cup of tea whilst looking at the beautiful world heritage site. Every night when I return from touring Kyoto I came into a completely clean room, fresh sheets, and my pajamas folded and placed on the foot of my bed. One drawback someone my say is the location is some what far away from the most popular sites in the city. But a subway station literally just around the corner. Made it so easy to traverse city. Saving big money on taxis. I was not able to have dinner at the restaurant, but with bunch little restaurants, bars. Getting something to eat was never a problem. I have decided that I'm definitely coming back to Kyoto, and I will refuse to stay anywhere else.

Wonderful hotel with excellent rooms and staff in a very nice location in Kyoto. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable and front desk staff very friendly and efficient. Only slight negative comment would be formality of the restaurant and rules if you are travelling with small children.

We had an awesome experience staying at Garrya Nijo Castle. The views of the the Nijo castle were spectacular and it was a very convenient location to experience highlights of Kyoto by walking or using the public transport. Really friendly and professional staff made our stay special. We also really enjoyed the breakfast and the set dinner, and really looking forward to our next visit.
