Ye Olde Windmill Apartment Free Parking

Everything perfect! :)

Apartment was modern, clean, tidy, suitably equipped. Access was easy. Location was convenient for city centre, we used public transport which was close by. There were enough local shops within walking dustance for buying essentials.

Sofa bed wasn't particularly comfortable, but that's generally the case with these. The extractor on the hob was crazy loud, but only used it once so not a big issue for us. There was a strange smell in the bedroom when we first arrived, however this may have been from outsude as windows were open, and it had gone by the time we went to bed?

Apartment was nice had everything we needed. It was close enough to get into the city.

Spacious and clean. It has simple but usable and sufficient kitchenware. For longer stays, the washing machine, iron and ironing board are a good plus! It is also quiet. Never heard any traffic noise. We walked to the centre of town every day. Took us between 30 and 40 minutes.

Comfortable, well-maintained.

Walls are wafer-thin to next door apartment - was woken 2 times by neighbour watching late night TV.

I really enjoyed staying in here for five days and nights with my family. The Holgate area was peaceful and there was a bus stop near the building but we could also walk to the city centre with our kids (aged 10 and 9). We parked our rental car on the street right outside the building. The apartment was tidy, there were games and books and a big tv with Netflix. Tea, coffee, sugar and salt was provided. There was also a washing machine and a hair dryer. The pre-check-in was easy.

The mattress on the bed was way too soft and it was painful for my back trying to get up on the last two mornings. There were only two teaspoons and four of us but we could manage.

Great location, very clean and all facilities were present. There wasn’t any noise from the other flats and local shops only a few minutes away. Plenty of free parking on the road.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Comfy bed. Spotlessly clean. Spacious. Homely touches. Parking was easy. 15 minute walk to city but on a bus route too. So many positives!

V understanding host.

Nothing to dislike. Brilliant location. Close to v good local shops, chemists etc., , bus stops outside, parked outside flat door and easy assess to everywhere both in town and going out of town. Loved the Windmill. Quick flip to York designer outlet about 10 mins away and that with its free parking and v reasonable park and ride fares into town makes a pretty good day out for all. Went home with a nice leather handbag come back pack from the designer outlet. Glad I did not miss that and the good prices....... V happy with my visit...
